My Luna Became An Alpha After I Rejected Her novel Chapter 53

Henceforth, Mr. Cole Adams has been stripped of his title of Beta and is no longer a member of the council,” Aiden’s voice thundered across the room, sharp and absolute. The command carried his Alpha’s aura, and the entire boardroom froze in stunned silence.

Gasps rippled around the table. Even Cassia’s eyes widened. She hadn’t expected that.

Cole shot up from his chair, face twisted with rage. “No…you can’t strip me of my position! I’ve been in this council longer than you’ve been alive, Aiden. This title is mine, earned. You don’t have the right…”

“I already did,” Aiden cut in coldly, his gaze like steel. “That is the price you pay for disrespecting my…” He caught himself, the word mate hovering on his tongue.

His eyes flickered to Cassia, holding her for a beat too long before she looked away. His jaw clenched. “…for disrespecting her.”

Cole’s face flushed red, his fists trembling. Desperate, he turned to Alaric. “Alpha Alaric, you’ve known me for years. Say something. Stop this madness!”

Alaric didn’t flinch. His voice was calm, almost detached. “There’s nothing I can do. Aiden is the Alpha now. His word is final.”

Cole’s eyes burned with hate. He turned his glare on Cassia, a silent promise of vengeance, before storming out with the others as Aiden dismissed the meeting.

The boardroom emptied quickly, leaving only Aiden and Cassia behind. She rose to leave, but his voice followed her.

“Amelia-”

She froze, spine stiff. Slowly, she turned back, her voice cutting like ice. “What do you want, Aiden?”

He stepped forward, hesitant. “I’m sorry. For what Cole said.”

She laughed bitterly. “Sorry? He only said aloud what you already made everyone believe.”

“That’s not true…”

“It is!” Her voice cracked, but her eyes blazed. “You accused me of killing my own child. Our daughter. Do you remember looking me in the eyes while I begged you to believe me? Do you remember calling me a murderer?”

Her breaths came sharp and uneven, each word slicing through the air like a blade. “You didn’t just ruin me, Aiden. You destroyed me. And when you stood before the pack and told them I killed Eva, you gave them permission to hate me. You gave them permission to bury me.”

His chest tightened. He stepped closer, guilt heavy in his tone. “I was wrong. I know that now. I’ll fix it. I swear I’ll fix everything.”

“And how?” She spat the words, her eyes shining with unshed tears. “By stripping everyone who insults me of their titles? By trying to erase the damage you caused? You can’t, Aiden. You can’t bring back Eva. You can’t take back the night you left me alone, bleeding, while you were with her.”

“You… bitch!” Her scream ripped through the silence. She lunged, eyes wild, but Aiden shifted instantly, stepping in front of Cassia. His arm barred Sofia back.

“You bitch!” Sofia’s voice cracked with rage. “Since the moment you came back, you’ve done nothing but crawl into my marriage! You have a husband, why don’t you stay with him? Or are you too much of a whore to keep your legs closed?” She shoved against Aiden, desperate to get past him.

Cassia’s expression sharpened into steel. “Whore? You slept with him while he was married to me. You got pregnant for him while I carried his name. And now you want to stand there and call me that?” Her voice cut through Sofia like a whip. “No, Sofia. The only whore here is you. Maybe you should be asking yourself whose bed you’ll crawl into next.”

Sofia paled, her body trembling under the weight of Cassia’s words.

Cassia didn’t wait for her reply. She turned sharply, her head held high, and swept out of the room.

The heavy silence she left behind suffocated Aiden and Sofia. Aiden finally released his hold on her, his face dark with restrained fury.

Sofia’s hand trembled as she raised it, then snapped it across his cheek with a sharp crack. The sound echoed in the board room.

Her voice shook, raw with pain and jealousy. “How dare you cheat on me?”
