My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 15

**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**

Grant’s breath hitched in his throat, a mix of frustration and disbelief swirling within him. “Luna, you’re such a fool,” he said, his voice tinged with exasperation.

“I’m not a fool,” she replied softly, her eyes glistening with a fierce determination. “I’m willing to do anything for you. I love you, Grant. I love you more than you can imagine. But I know that Oriana loves you too, and I can’t betray her trust. Even so, if I can bring you even a sliver of happiness, if you could just spare me a fraction of your kindness every now and then, I would find contentment in that,” Luna whispered, her voice trembling with emotion.

“Contentment? You call that contentment? Doesn’t that just make you a fool?” Grant challenged, his brow furrowed as he searched her face for some sign of clarity.

“I understand, Grant. You’d feel pity for me and give me a little more than you should—” Luna’s voice trailed off, abruptly silenced by the weight of her own words.

Meanwhile, Oriana had conjured up countless intimate fantasies of Grant and Luna together in her mind. Yet, witnessing the reality of it all was a jarring wake-up call. The images she had envisioned were far too innocent, far too naive.

The Grant who was now utterly enchanted by Luna’s vibrant smile was a stark contrast to the cold, distant boy Oriana remembered—the one who had blushed furiously, his heart racing and hands trembling, merely from the brush of her lips in their first kiss.

Their faces fit together seamlessly, a perfect but painful overlap in her memory.

Oriana felt as if the ground beneath her might give way, threatening to swallow her whole. She thought she would crumble under the weight of it all, thought she might dissolve into tears of despair.

Instead, an unexpected calm washed over her, one she didn’t think she was capable of feeling.

Just a few days had passed, yet she felt utterly exhausted by him, as if she had already mourned their relationship.

Taking a deep breath, she lifted her phone and captured a brief video clip. When the scene became too explicit, she turned away, her heart racing as she left the room.

Back upstairs, she hurried to the bathroom, splashing cold water on her face, as if trying to wash away the filth of the moment.

Suddenly, her phone buzzed, pulling her from her thoughts. It was Micah.

Oriana exhaled slowly, a bitter smile forming on her lips. It was almost comical how Micah always seemed to appear when she was at her lowest point.

Could this be fate, she wondered?

For their third video call, Oriana answered with a forced cheerfulness. “Good evening, Mr. Caldwell.”

“Good evening,” Micah replied, his deep, magnetic voice resonating through the dimly lit screen, carrying an allure that was hard to resist.

Oriana’s heart fluttered slightly. “Mr. Caldwell, have you heard yet another piece of gossip about me?” she teased, a playful glint in her eyes.

Micah paused, clearly taken aback. She seemed more vibrant than during their previous conversations, a spark in her demeanor that intrigued him.

“You seem in good spirits. Is there something worth celebrating?” he inquired, his curiosity piqued.

Oriana considered his question for a moment, a smile creeping onto her face. “I suppose so, yes,” she replied, her tone light yet tinged with an undercurrent of uncertainty.

“Care to share?” Micah asked, his interest growing.

“This might be something you’d rather not hear. It’s probably best if I keep it to myself,” Oriana admitted, scratching her cheek awkwardly, a hint of shyness creeping in.

“Fair enough,” Micah said, a hint of understanding in his voice. “Actually, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be in Meradin for a few days. When you arrive in Jindiwood, I might not be back in time. But I’ll do my best to make it.”

Oriana blinked, surprised by his openness. This level of detail wasn’t necessary given their arrangement.
