**He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen – Chapter 177: Conspiracy**
“It’s so late, and you’re planning to spend the night at the hotel all by yourself. How can I just stand by and let you do that?” Luna’s voice broke through the tension, her concern palpable as she took a step forward, determination etched on her face.
Grant’s brow furrowed, his expression serious and resolute. “Luna, I really don’t want to jeopardize your reputation because of me. Just go ahead—I’ll have Alaric stay with me.” His tone was firm, but there was a flicker of worry behind his eyes.
Seizing the opportunity, Alaric slid closer, his arm wrapping around the slightly inebriated, bleary-eyed Grant for support. “Yeah, Luna, I’ll keep an eye on him. You don’t need to worry about a thing.” His casual demeanor was meant to reassure her, but Luna wasn’t entirely convinced.
Luna bit her lip, contemplating her next move. “I’ll just make a quick stop at the restroom first,” she said, hoping to gather her thoughts and figure out how to help Grant without compromising herself.
Once inside, she pulled out her phone and quickly accessed Grant’s flight information using his personal details. Her heart raced as she confirmed what she suspected—he was set to fly to Meradin early tomorrow morning.
Feeling a sense of relief wash over her, she exited the restroom, her mind still racing. “Alaric, please take good care of Grant,” she reminded him, her eyes darting back to Grant as she followed Oscar out of the hotel.
As soon as Luna left, Grant opened his eyes, suddenly clear and alert, as if the fog of intoxication had lifted.
“Grant, the sobering medicine worked, right?” Alaric asked, studying him closely.
“Okay,” Grant muttered, pressing his fingers against his temple, a slight grimace crossing his face. “Just a bit of a headache.”
“Hey, you drank way too much! It’s impressive that you’re not completely out of it—headaches are nothing compared to that!” Alaric chuckled, shaking his head. He had never witnessed Grant drink to such excess before.
Grant’s fixation on Oriana was a different beast altogether, a consuming fire that he could never seem to extinguish.
He raised his chin defiantly, his gaze sharp. “Where’s she?”
“She’s still in the lobby. Are you sure it’s safe? And Lily’s there too—she can be a bit of a handful,” Alaric warned, concern creeping into his voice.
“You deal with Lily,” Grant replied, his tone leaving no room for negotiation.
“Alright, fine.” Alaric relented, knowing better than to argue.

Chapter 177: Conspiracy
After sending a message to Micah, Lily felt a growing sense of unease as the minutes ticked by without a response. It was as if her message had simply evaporated into thin air.
Worry gnawed at her insides, and she attempted to call him, only to accidentally lock her phone in her flustered state.
Her gaze fell upon Oriana, who was slumped over the table, utterly still, and panic surged through Lily. “Oriana, please,” she murmured, feeling frantic and helpless.
“Lily, Oriana, you guys aren’t leaving yet?” Alaric emerged from the inner room, surprise evident on his face. “Come on, I’ll take you back.”
Lily narrowed her eyes, suspicion flaring. “No, you have ulterior motives!”
