My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 216

**Chapter 216: A Promise Under Moonlight**

“Right? Honestly, she should’ve just gone with the Black Swan cake,” one of Luna’s friends remarked, her tone dripping with playful sarcasm.

“Jeez, giving one flower this much ceremony? It might even cost more than the cake!” another chimed in, laughter bubbling up among the group.

Luna, sitting among her little squad, suppressed a chuckle, her eyes twinkling with mirth. She adopted a soft, soothing tone, trying to bring a little balance to the teasing. “Willow, come on now. It’s the thought that counts—no matter what the gift is, it’s from Oriana’s husband.”

“Luna, you’re too sweet for your own good,” Willow replied, shaking her head in mock disbelief. “Look, when it comes to love, men speak in money. If he really cared, he’d show it with more than just ‘intentions.’ This is weak.”

“Exactly,” another friend added, her voice laced with a hint of mischief. “Oriana, not to stir the pot, but you should really talk to your husband. Sending this and making a big deal out of it on the phone? It’s just… kind of embarrassing, girl—”

As the laughter and gossip flowed around them, Grant’s expression shifted subtly, his thoughts deepening into a more complex realm. Moments before, as the box was about to be opened, he had felt a flicker of anxiety creeping in.

Luna and her friends were blissfully unaware of the storm brewing in Grant’s mind. He knew exactly who Micah was—the man had status and wealth that could easily overshadow any gesture Grant could muster. Micah could crush Grant’s humble gift with a mere flick of his wrist, and that thought gnawed at him.

Yet, as he observed the scene unfolding—everyone laughing at Oriana’s expense—Grant felt a wave of relief wash over him. At least his pride and image had been spared for the moment. Perhaps, just perhaps, this would finally lead Oriana to feel a twinge of disappointment in Micah.

See, Oriana? In the end, I’m still the only one willing—and able—to treat the woman beside me right, he thought, a small smirk creeping onto his face.

Oriana, however, remained silent, her focus entirely on the rose that lay before her. She gazed at the delicate petals, each layer unfurling with an elegance that captivated her. Her eyes dropped to the base of the flower, where a tiny sand painting caught her attention. It depicted Micah, flanked by Chubby and an adorable little turtle, vibrant and full of life, as if Micah had brought the little ones from home to celebrate this moment with her.

A soft, sweet smile spread across Oriana’s face, illuminating her features. This was his unique way of expressing love, and she adored it. Truly, she loved it.

“Madam, do you like the gift?” the well-groomed man asked, noticing the smile that graced her lips.

“I do. I love it,” Oriana replied instantly, her voice brimming with sincerity.

The man nodded appreciatively. “I’m glad to hear that, ma’am. Just so you know—the Juliet rose has very specific growing conditions. To preserve it, we’ll need to airlift it back to Jindiwood immediately for special treatment so it can be kept as an eternal flower.”

Oriana nodded, her heart swelling with affection for the thoughtful gesture. “Alright. Thank you for the trouble.”

With a polite nod, he stepped aside to make a phone call, leaving Oriana basking in the warmth of the moment.
