My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 221

**Chapter 221: The Leap Across the Wild**

“Luna, take my hand!” Oriana shouted, her voice laced with urgency.

“I can’t quite reach… Oriana, you need to lean in a little more!” Luna replied, desperation creeping into her tone.

They strained against the distance, their fingertips tantalizingly close yet frustratingly out of reach.

“Watch out! There’s a pond right ahead! You can’t go any further!” The trainer’s voice rang out sharply from the back, slicing through the tension like a knife.

Oriana clenched her jaw, feeling the adrenaline surge through her veins. With a fierce determination, she summoned every ounce of strength from her legs and propelled herself off the back of the black horse, landing squarely on Stormwind’s powerful back.

Joy flickered across Luna’s pale features, a brief respite from the chaos. The pond loomed just 547 yards away, and there was no way she would meet her end atop a wild horse.

Before Oriana could find her balance, Luna made a desperate move, attempting to shove her off, hoping to use her as a human cushion to soften her own fall.

“Luna!” Oriana exclaimed, feeling the unexpected push and instantly comprehending Luna’s treacherous intent.

What a deceitful, backstabbing creature.

Oriana had always known better than to expect loyalty from Luna.

Her eyes turned icy, a cold resolve settling within her as she grasped Luna’s wrist with a fierce grip.

Luna’s eyes widened in disbelief when her attempt to dislodge Oriana failed miserably. In an instant, Oriana yanked her down with a swift motion, sending Luna tumbling off the horse.

“Ah! Oriana, how dare you—” Luna’s protest was cut short as she hit the ground.

With Luna temporarily dealt with, Oriana seized the reins of Stormwind, her legs tightening around the horse’s sides as she fought to regain control.

The pond was perilously close now. Oriana pulled with all her might, feeling the roughness of the reins biting into her palms, leaving them raw and bleeding.

328 yards.

219 yards.

109 yards.

“Stormwind, stop! For the love of everything, stop right now!” Oriana’s voice was raw with urgency as she leaned back, yanking the reins with all her strength.

Stormwind reared up, dirt and gravel flying in a chaotic cloud, but finally, it skidded to a halt just inches from the pond’s rocky edge.

Oriana gasped, her breath coming in ragged heaves, her body drenched in sweat without her even realizing it.

Stormwind turned its head, its large eyes regarding her with an almost comical curiosity, then let out a long, labored huff.

The glossy tail flicked lazily, as if the near disaster had been nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

Oriana looked into its playful expression, her eyes misting over, unsure if the moisture was from tears or the sweat dripping down her face.

She pressed her palm against Stormwind’s head, a soft sigh escaping her lips. “Guess Grandma wasn’t lying. Pebble was just as stubborn in her youth. You’re a chip off the old block, aren’t you?”
