My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 231

**Chapter 231: The Girl Who Forgot**

Owen stretched widely, a yawn escaping his lips as he leaned back in his chair. “Mom, just chill. Grant’s practically family at this point. My sister trusts him more than anyone else in the world.” His tone was casual, but there was an undercurrent of reassurance meant to soothe Evelyn’s worries.

Bramwell, with a serious demeanor, placed a firm hand on Grant’s shoulder, his voice steady and sincere. “I’m putting my faith in you with my daughter.” There was a weight to his words, a father’s protective instinct shining through.

Grant lowered his gaze, a flicker of responsibility crossing his features. “You don’t need to worry, Mr. Sterling. I’ll look after her.” His voice was steady, but deep down, he felt the enormity of the promise he was making.

Evelyn, still looking anxious, chose not to press further. Her eyes darted to Luna, who lay in the bed, her expression a mix of confusion and fear. With a final glance filled with maternal concern, she turned to leave, accompanied by her husband and son.

As soon as the door closed behind them, Grant approached the bed, settling down beside Luna just as her fingers began to twitch.

Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing a whirlwind of emotions—dazed confusion quickly spiraled into panic, and before he could react, she burst into tears. “Grant!”

The sound of her voice, laced with sorrow and disbelief, pierced through the air. “I thought I’d never see you again.”

Grant instinctively leaned closer, but Luna, in a sudden surge of emotion, grasped his shirt and pulled him onto the bed beside her.

He positioned himself on either side of her pillow, trying to provide comfort. “You’re okay, Luna. The doctor ran some tests—just a few minor injuries, nothing serious. You don’t need to be scared.” His voice was soft, meant to soothe her racing heart.

“But… Grant…” she sobbed, her voice breaking.

Grant remained silent, allowing her the space to express the torrent of emotions crashing over her.

After a few agonizing moments, Luna finally released her grip on him, still sniffling, tears clinging stubbornly to the corners of her eyes.

He studied her for a long moment, his brow furrowed with concern. Finally, he asked, “Luna, what happened yesterday? Why did you treat Oriana like that? You’ve always been the kindest person I know. I’ve never seen you act so harshly.”

Luna’s expression shifted, a tense realization washing over her. “Where’s Oriana? Is she alright?”

“She’s fine,” Grant reassured her, hoping to ease her mind.

A wave of relief washed over Luna, and a small smile broke through her tears. “Thank goodness!”

She rubbed her temples, confusion clouding her features. “I think I fell off the horse… Everything feels so foggy. I can’t remember anything after that. Grant, did I… did I do something wrong?”

Grant’s frown deepened. “You really don’t remember?”

The hurt in her eyes was palpable. “You don’t believe me? You said it yourself—I’m never mean. What could I have possibly done to make you think otherwise?”

“I remember Oriana saving me. I should be thanking her, not hurting her. I would never—never do that.”

Her anxiety was escalating, and she tugged at his arm, desperation lacing her voice. “Please, Grant—what exactly did I do yesterday?”
