Bramwell scoffed, What’s so great about it? She just married some chauffeur driving a fancy Maybach. In Jindiwood, rich folks are a dime a dozen. It’s all for show, just trying to look good on the outside to fool people.

Emma was quiet for a moment, then couldn’t help but speak up. There’s got to be some misunderstanding. Anyone who can get their hands on Juliet roses isn’t just some nobody.”

Evelyn looked confused. What roses?

Weston looked puzzled and turned to Owen. He hasn’t told you guys about it yet?

Emma briefly explained what had happened at the Weston Equestrian Club.

Bramwell and Evelyn were both visibly shocked.

Bramwell was still skeptical. Are you sure that rose or whatever is actually worth that much?

་་་ས་་་་ས་འ་

Emma smiled, I wouldn’t mistake it. The team that brought it was clearly a professional breeding team.

And even without the rose, that rich young man threw down tens of millions to buy Stormwind from you just to gift it to Oriana. He carried himself with confidence, dressed headtotoe in highend brands. Sure, he was young and a little arrogant, but someone like that is either courting Oriana or has strong ties with her husband’s side. If he were just pretending to be somebody, no way he could pull that off.

Jindiwood’s full of rich folks, sure, but ones with that level of wealth and pull? They’re rare.

Bramwell and Evelyn were both stunned, completely blown away.

Bramwell snapped out of it, gritting his teeth with a cold sneer. No wonder she’s gotten so boldshe landed herself one hell of a backer. My adopted daughter, huh? What a piece of work!

Evelyn still looked a bit doubtful. But Luna’s in Jindiwood too. How come she never mentioned any of this?

Maybe Oriana’s been keeping things lowkey over there. Everyone at the scene looked just as surprised.

Weston gave Bramwell’s shoulder a light pat and said with a meaningful tone, Bramwell, you’re one lucky guy. Both your girls turned out impressive. Just don’t take that for granted.”

Bramwell’s eyes darkened as the implication behind Weston’s words sank in. His expression grew even more unreadable.

By the time Oriana woke up, night had already fallen outside the window.

The buildings outside were all lit up, the city glowing against the night. Oriana sat up in bed, still dazed, not quite pulled out of her dream.

Micah wasn’t in the room. She took a breath, then got up and walked out.

Micah?

The office was completely empty. No sign of him.

Weird. Where’d he go?

Did something come up with work again?

Just as she was wondering, there was a knock at the door.

Oriana walked over and opened it. Kieran was standing outside, as respectful as ever.

Mrs. Caldwell, you’re awake.”

Where’s Micah?,

Mr. Caldwell had something urgent come up. He asked me to take you home once you were awake.

Oriana looked more confused now. She glanced around the other offices. Is he still at the center?

Kieran shook his head. He didn’t say.

Even Kieran doesn’t know?

A dozen questions buzzed in her mind, but she didn’t press further.

She figured Micah must’ve had something urgent, or he wouldn’t have left her there to rest.

She instinctively pulled out her phone to check for messages.

Sure enough, there was one. Have Kieran take you home when you wake up. Wait for me.”

It gave instructions, but no reason.

She had gotten used to Micah always explaining things. That short message left her feeling a little empty.

Still, she quickly adjusted her mood. Alright, let’s head back.”

On the ride home, Oriana sat quietly, distracted.

After debating for a while, she texted Micah, asking where he was, what he was doing, and if something had held him up.

But unlike usual, he didn’t reply right away.

Holding her phone, Oriana turned to the window, watching the city lights blur past.

Suddenly, her phone chimed. A message came through.
