My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 50

**TITLE: He Returned to Break and Own Me and for His Queen**
**Chapter 50: The Breakdown**

Alaric felt a wave of nausea wash over him as he stood there, unable to meet Grant’s gaze. It was as if the air had thickened, pressing down on him, making it hard to breathe. Grant was rooted to the spot, his cane bearing the weight of his despair, a portrait of utter defeat.

Never in his wildest dreams had Alaric envisioned seeing Grant in such a vulnerable state. It was a sight that none of them had anticipated. Or perhaps they had all been blind to the truth—underestimating just how profoundly Oriana had affected Grant’s life.

What sent a shiver down Alaric’s spine was the ironclad determination radiating from Oriana—she had truly gone and married another man.

“Grant, Oriana’s married now. Maybe it’s time to just—”

The final word hung in the air, unspoken, as Grant’s icy, venomous glare silenced him. It was a look that could cut through steel.

Grant’s breath was labored, his eyes dark and twisted with a mixture of pain and fury. “Oriana’s just upset. She’s confused, lost her way for a moment. She doesn’t truly understand what she’s doing. Someone must’ve whispered poison into her ear, turning her against me.”

“But they’ve already filed for a marriage license. And that man who picked her up—” Alaric’s voice faltered under the weight of reality.

“She doesn’t love him,” Grant spat, his voice dripping with disdain. “There’s no way. You didn’t see a ring on her hand, did you? And tell me—what kind of husband makes his wife sit in the backseat?”

His handsome features were shadowed by a darkness that sent a chill through the air, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “Even if they did marry, so what? They’ll get divorced. She’s just lashing out at me, that’s all. Once she calms down, we’ll reconcile. I’ll forgive her.”

With a heavy sigh, Grant lowered his head, his fingers deftly pulling out his phone. He typed a message to a lawyer he trusted—Uriah Bloom.

“Uriah, I need you to come to Jindiwood. I’m filing a petition, as Oriana’s legal guardian, to have her marriage annulled.”

With the message dispatched, he gestured for Alaric to follow him. “Come on. We need to go.”

They would be in Jindiwood for a while, and there was no sense in dawdling—they needed to accelerate their plans.

Luna stood there, forgotten in the chaos of emotions swirling around them.

Or perhaps she had never even crossed Grant’s mind at all.

Oriana had tied herself to another man, signed the marriage license, and in Grant’s eyes, she was now irreparably tainted—yet he still clung to the idea of forgiveness?

Had he completely lost his mind?

Luna’s expression twisted, a tempest of jealousy and hatred bubbling just beneath the surface, threatening to spill over.

“Luna?”

A cheerful male voice broke through her tumultuous thoughts, startling her.

“You’re Luna, right? Wow, you’re even more beautiful in person than in your photos!”
