My Reborn Admirer Wins Over My Heart novel Chapter 68

**Chapter 68: The Poisonous Encounter**

In a moment that seemed to spring from a well of unexpected generosity, Luna declared, “I’ll take you there myself. If you’re feeling anxious about it, I can even gather the flowers for you, so that no one can cast any aspersions.”

“Thank you, young lady. You truly have a kind heart,” Noah replied, his voice filled with a mixture of gratitude and surprise.

Guided by Luna’s so-called “kindness,” Noah soon found himself standing before two oleander trees, their vibrant blooms swaying gently in the breeze. With a cheerful demeanor, he plucked a small bouquet of the flowers, their colors radiant against the backdrop of the dull surroundings. “So, which way do we go now, miss?” he asked, a wide grin spreading across his face.

Luna, however, had already begun to subtly increase the distance between them, her heart racing with unease. “Just go straight ahead. It’s right there,” she instructed, her voice steady but her mind racing.

“Straight? But I see a winding path ahead. Young lady, since you’ve been so helpful, why not accompany me all the way?” Noah insisted, his tone bright and inviting, yet there was an edge of insistence that made Luna’s skin crawl.

“I don’t… Ah! Don’t touch me with your filthy hands!” she exclaimed, her voice rising in alarm.

Luna had anticipated some sort of drama to unfold, but she had not expected the grimy Noah to suddenly latch onto her, demanding she lead the way. As he reached for her, she shrieked, “I’ll take you! Just don’t lay a finger on me, it’s revolting!”

Noah feigned a look of genuine hurt. “Young lady, I’m not dirty. This is merely years of grime that won’t wash off…” he lamented, his eyes wide with mock innocence.

You ungrateful old fool. If it weren’t for my desire to witness Oriana’s disgrace, I wouldn’t even spare you a glance! Luna thought bitterly, her patience wearing thin.

With a heavy heart and a scowl etched across her face, Luna reluctantly led Noah to the entrance of the Traditional Medicine Department building. “This is it. You can find your own way up. I’m leaving,” she announced, her breath barely escaping her lips the entire way, fearful of inhaling something foul.

“Hey, don’t go! Since you’re already here, and thanks to you I found the place, and since you’re such a good friend of Oriana’s, let’s head up together!” Noah chirped, making a move to grasp Luna’s arm and pull her along.

There was no way Luna would allow herself to be exposed like that. “I’m not going! Don’t follow me! Ah, you old creep, what are you doing? Don’t touch me! And keep those flowers away from me!” she shouted, her voice laced with panic.

“Don’t be angry, miss! I mean no harm. Let’s just go up together!” Noah replied, appearing harmless yet moving with surprising speed for someone of his age. He chased after Luna, never quite catching up but remaining stubbornly on her heels. As he ran, he deliberately raised the bouquet, waving it near her face, sending Luna into a frenzy as she gasped for breath and sprinted away in terror.

“Hey, what’s all that racket downstairs?” Lily Martinez called out, looking up from her laptop, annoyance flashing across her face as she covered her ears. Class was about to start, and she still had notes to revise!
