I was feeling giddy after Mack broke our kiss and I was glad Mack was holding me close, making me feel his rock–hard cock pressing against me. I was glad he admitted he didn’t want to sleep alone and Fortune told me she wanted them to spend the night with us, “I want to spend some time with Commander.” She said and I could see Commander pushing forward when I voiced Fortune’s words out loud, that was until I felt his arm slipping from my waist.

I follow his line of sight and Fortune roars in my head as I see my Mother standing on the front porch of our house, “Mother, what are you doing here?” I ask her as she walks down the steps and I see her looking at Mack with curiosity written all over her face, but I can tell he is linking someone. Probably whoever let her into the territory without following proper protocol, because if protocol had been followed she wouldn’t be standing here but at the Pack–house.

“I thought I would come pick you up for your stay at Brad’s Pack and maybe we can discuss your moving there permanently on the drive over there.” She says and I just shake my head, I doubt she will ever understand why I don’t want to leave this territory. “Mother, why would I want to move? The parent that loves me unconditionally is living here, I was born in this Pack and I have my friends here.” I say as I walk past her and I can tell she wants to object to what I have said.

“The funeral isn’t until next week and I have no intention of arriving earlier than necessary or staying longer for that matter. You are mated to his Father and that is where any connection between me and Diablo ends. You will see me the day of the funeral and not a moment sooner. Goodbye, Mother.” I say as I walk into the house, but I turn around when I hear paws thumbing on the ground and in seconds my Mother is surrounded by Lycans.

I know that all of them are Warriors and a moment later our entire leadership walks from behind some trees with Dad, none of them looking to happy with Mother’s presence. Dominic makes her understand real fast that he doesn’t like the stunt she pulled, “If you ever set foot in our territory again without following protocol, I will have no trouble throwing you in our dungeons and I don’t care who your Mate is. Is that clear, Tara?” Dominic growls.

She pales as she gets hit by Dominic’s Alpha aura and she nods her head as she walks over to her car, the Warriors that are still in their Lycan form follow her as she drives away from the house. The moment she is out of sight I jump into Mack’s arms and I wrap my arms and legs around him, not willing to let go for a while. “You handled that very well, Angel. I hear some chuckles around us but I don’t care, I need to feel this connection to Mack and I don’t give a crap that they see it. Mack doesn’t waste time to deepen the kiss and I moan the moment his tongue invades my mouth, forcing Dad to growl softly as I press myself closer to Mack’s body. “Get a room.” I hear Levi growls as we break our kiss and without thinking twice I answer, “Great idea, Levi.”

I look over Mack’s shoulder at Levi and I see all of them staring at me with their jaw dropped, they hadn’t. seen that one coming. Mack has his face buried in my neck as I hear him softly groan, sounds to me he likes the idea of getting a room too and I ask Fortune if we should spend the night at home or in Mack’s room. “I would like to talk to the two of you.” Dad says as he walks past me into the house and I shrug my shoulders when Mack looks at me questioningly.

When I look up again I see that the others have left and I tell Mack we should head inside to hear what Dad has to say, he lowers me to my feet slowly before kissing me again. Yeah, definitely something I could get used to. Mack follows me into the living room where Dad is waiting for us and we both sit down on the couch facing Dad, waiting for him to say whatever is on his mind.

“I realized this morning that you will move in with Mack and for a moment I hated the thought of living here by myself, but Timber pointed out that we didn’t have to keep living here. We discussed what to do with the house if we moved out and Timber came up with the right solution, we want the two of you to move in here.” Dad says and I look at him to see if he is kidding, but I can tell that he is very serious about this.

“You get to keep your workspace in the attic and my Grandpups…” “Dad!” I exclaim, interrupting whatever he was about to say and I hear both him and Mack chuckle. Great, now he has put ideas into that Mate of mine. Don’t get me wrong, I want Pups of my own somewhere down the line and I know Mack will be a great Father but not right now. “Fine, Sweetheart. I won’t mention that for the time being, but I believe it is the best solution for all of us.” Dad responds.

Fortune tells me that she agrees with Dad, we need to make this our home and it means I don’t have to move all of my belongings into the Packhouse. It will also give Fortune and Commander the freedom we wouldn’t have at the Pack–house, here we don’t have to worry about anyone watching us coming and going and Fortune tells me that she always hoped we could raise our Pups here.
