Having to concentrate on our assignment keeps me from dealing with the thoughts of our Mates, mostly thoughts about why they weren’t at the house or why they had a block on the mind–link and of course the Warriors that were supposed to be guarding us.

I can’t think of anything about their new assignment that could be so important that the, and our safety, but then again I have no idea what their new assignment is about.

I am grateful that La Himța is located near a forest and with no cameras at the back of the building it is easy for us to get away, Maleah informed Pauline we didn’t need the ride after all. Maleah takes off her clothes to hand control to me and I pick up the bag she took with her, taking off immediately towards Blood Crescent territory.

I need to see my Mates and find out why they did what they did and if their excuse is a lame one I might use them as punching bags for training or I will ban them from the bedroom.

“Yeah, as if you want to spend a night without one of them next to you.” Maleah mumbles and I have to admit that I would hate to sleep alone tonight or any other night for that matter, I have adapted to having someone in my bed pretty quickly.

I run through the forest at a leisurely speed and it lulls my Human to sleep, something that happens whenever I take a run to calm myself down. I know she will wake up the moment I tell her to, but right now there is no reason for her to be awake.

I speed up a little as I leave Coalfell behind me and I enjoy the peace and quiet as I make my way towards Wolfpine, it doesn’t take long before I see the town come into view. I love the picturesque cottages that are built along the outskirts of the small town, but I know they are too small for us to live in and suddenly I wonder how the four of us are going to live in our house.

There are barely enough rooms for us to sleep in, so what will happen when we have Pups.

Something I need to discuss with my Human and our Mates, maybe we can build onto the house and create more space that way or maybe we should think about building a new house to accommodate all of

I slow down my pace as I let that last option run through my mind, what would it look like from the outside or how would the interior look like. I would like an open floor plan for the ground floor, enough windows to enjoy our surroundings and enough rooms upstairs for all of us.

By the time I start to think about the interior of the house I have come to a full stop and somehow that wakes up my Human.

“What is wrong, Fortune?” She asks and I tell her where my mind had taken me.

“Sounds like you already forgave them.” She says teasingly and I know I will listen to their explanation, but I am not sure if I will let them off the hook that easily.

My Human is right though, I can’t stay inad at our Mates and I know that has everything to do with the Mate–bond that is growing between us..

I take of at high speed because I want to go home, get my Mates to the forest for a run and to find out how for our hand has formed The closer I get to que territor the more unsay I feel and even my Human ie

“Fortune, something is wrong. They have doubled the Warriors on border patrol, there are about twenty Lycans straight ahead of us.” Maleah informs me and when I ask her where they are exactly I hear her mutter, “Fuck, at the location Pauline picked us up.”

Maleah tells me that they are in Human form and that they all feel stressed out. I swee from one side of the road to the other side and I know it is difficult for anyone to see what is approach them, at least until it is too late for anyone to run off.

“It’s our leadership with a lot of Warriors.” Maleah says and I wonder when her abilities will stop to expand or amaze me. I am glad I can come to a halt in a split second, but I am going to scare the shit out of them.
