When Nero told us Miku felt a connection to Alayah my first thought was What the Fuck, don’t get me wrong I am happy my baby Brother found someone that is fit to become his Mate. It is just the fact that she happens to be Mara’s Daughter and I wonder why he never found her before, he has visited Crimson Moon Pack quite a lot over the years.

Khal is as confused about this as I am and botly of us want to find out why she never met Nero before now. I mean the Packhouse isn’t that big. He should have ran into her at some point during his visits, after all she is a member of the Beta family and that means that she lived in the Pack–house all her life. Mara only told us how she coped with the death of her first Mate, Maxwell, how she neglected Alayah because she was so much like her Father.

When Mara explained she saw Maxwell die I saw the raw pain in her eyes, it still hurts her to relive that day and I guess she relived it every time she looked at Alayah. A part of me hates her for what she did to Alayah, but the other part of me understands it was painful for her and I believe that is Alayah is willing to give her a change I shouldn’t hold her past against her. Khal and I agree on one thing, if she hurts Alayah again we will have Alayah’s back.

Nero becomes less on edge the closer we get to Crimson Moon Pack, Khal tells me that even Miku is starting to relax. It is so strange to see Nero go through the same process Dad went through with Mara, Dad hated being away from Mara as much as Nero hated being away from Alayah and I wonder if this will get worse if Alayah decides she doesn’t want to Mate–bond with Nero.

Noah is the first one to see Alayah and I decide to take a shower before I get to see our little Stepsister, even though Nero told us she is 5“7 she is still little compared to the four of us. We all stand at 65 and if we stand next to one and other we are a wall you can’t get through, every Warrior in our Pack has tried to but each of them failed. It is always fun to see someone try to get the reward behind us and Dad has made a small competition out of it over the years.

With a smile on my face I walk out of the bedroom as I hear Noah tell Nero and Nathan that Alayah doesn’t look like Mara, I am disappointed when he doesn’t want to answer our questions about his visit with Alayah. I hope Nathan will give me something more than Noah did, but I get nothing out of him- either after he returns and I get really pissed when he ignores me after he sits down in an armchair.

He even ignores Noah and Nero, something he has never done in his life and Khal can’t even get through to Yuma. “Can Eiji or Miku reach Yuma?” I ask my Brothers and both have a confused look on their faces when their Lycans fail to reach Yuma, this is really strange. Nathan usually is an open book for us and us not being able to reach Yuma always means one thing, both

of them are in a deep argument about what

happened in Alyah’s office.

I try to get his attention one more time before I walk into the kitchen to grab Alayah’s treat, Nero asked one of our Omegas to make her famous chocolate peanut butter grahams and when he explained they were for our Stepsister she made an entire tray full. She warned him that she would ask Alayah if she got all of them when they met and Nero promised her Alayah would get all of them, he even bought her a glass cookie jar.

I can’t wait to see the look on her face when I place it in front of her, Mara told us that as a young Pup Alayah loved every kind of chocolate cookie and I hope she still has a great love for them. “Hello, Nero. Don’t spoil your baby Sister too much.” An Omega says as I pass her. “My Stepsister.” I correct her and I get a rather strange look from the Omega.
