We are enjoying dinner at Jesse’s diner when Mom’s phone starts ringing and she looks surprised when she see the caller–ID flashing Beta Jacob’s name, but I think she is more scanal when she finds out that Dad has lost his phone. Beta Jacob explains that Noah called because Dad hadn’t read and answered any of their messages and Alpha Gordon hadn’t liked hearing that Dad hadn’t responded to any message since Thursday.

Dad grabs his phone to show me and Mom that he has it with him and I ask Mom to give me his number, but when I call him it doesn’t start ringing. We look at one another as I ask Mom to check if I took the number down correctly, she confirms I have the right number and I try calling him again with the same result.

I scroll through my contacts to find Erick’s number, “Erick, I have a question for you and I hope you have an answer for me.” I say the moment he picks up.

“Is it possible to make it look as if I send a message, but for the other person to not receive it? Is it possible for me to make a call, but for the other phone not to ring?” I ask him and for a moment it is quiet on the other end of the line. He asks me if I can get the phone and after I tell him I have it he asks me to search for something, he guides me through the steps I have to take.

The moment we find what Erick was looking for Dad decides it is time to head home, I stay on the phone with Erick because I want to know if we can find out when or who did this with Dad’s phone.

“I doubt you can find out who did it, but you can find out when it was done.” Erick says as he tells me what to do and together we go through Dad’s phone to find out when this was done to his phone, it doesn’t surprise me to find out it happened after my first meeting with Alpha Gordon.

In the meantime Dad had contacted the Boys with Mom’s phone and I knew we would be explaining a few things to them before I would return tomorrow, I knew they wouldn’t be too happy with what they were going to hear. Especially Crystal is going to hate what we have to say, but she needs to know the truth, she needs to know why she was never allowed to go to a Mate meeting before.

Not that it is a bad thing she never went to one before, after all this was the first one that Marc attended and they found each other. So in hindsight it was a good thing Crystal never went to a Mate meeting before or she might have given up hope on finding her Mate and chosen a Mate.

I can tell that Mom and Dad are discussing something through their mind–link, I just wait until they are done with their conversation and Dad calls Noah again.

Had I known what he was going to do I would have stopped him, but the moment I hear his c ion I am also very curious about the answer. When I hear all four of them admit that their Lycans had tell a connection I am flabbergasted, but Dad apparently expected the answer and asked them a second question. A question Topaz and I want to have an answer to as well, but I am not sure if I want to hear their explanation.

“Dad, I had my reasons to tell that female my Lycan didn’t feel a connection yet. If I had said that Eiji felt a connection she might have assumed it was with her and I didn’t want there to be any misunderstandings between me and that female. I didn’t want the female to know I felt a connection to someone and have her causing problems and I made it clear I would never take a chosen Mate.” Noah answers him and for some part I feel better, but a small part is disappointed he didn’t tell me about the connection.
