Jarrom stops pacing my head, the moment someone releases a mighty roar and I finally pull my face out of Janina’s neck. A spot I have been glued to ever since we walked into the main living room and I see a very pissed off female standing in the doorway.

“HAVE YOU LOST YOUR FUCKING MIND, THESEUS.” She roars and even though she is no longer the Alpha, her aura still demands a lot of respect. “I thought I made it clear that your Mate has no say in how our family runs this Pack, last time she opened that fucking mouth of hers it almost costed us an alliance we have had for almost two hundred years.

Did you tell her what would happen if she ever butted in with our way of running this Pack?” She asks Theseus as she slowly walks towards him and the look on Theseus‘ face tells us all that he didn’t warn his

Mate.

“April, you are no longer running this Pack. Theseus and I can and will make this Pack to become the kind of Pack we want it to be.” Luna Carmen says and I am stunned at the disrespect she is showing her Mother in law. Theseus is looking very pale and I just sit back to see what will happen next, just like everyone else from our Pack.

“Carmen, this will be my Pack until the day I die. If I have to, I will take the Alpha title away from my Son and hand it over to my Daughter. You are only Luna in name, nothing more.” April growls in her direction, before she turns her attention back to her Son.

I know that it is very unusual for a Luna to hold no power in a Pack and it only happens when a Luna has crossed a line with her Mate or when she has shown signs of not having the Pack’s best interest before taking the Luna position. With the situation in front of us I think it is a safe bet to assume that it is the latter.

In the few hours that we have been here I have noticed that only the Omegas seem to listen to her and I think that is more out of fear than anything else. She talks down at everyone and Theseus isn’t doing anything to stop her, but than again it might be tactics.

Going over everything I learned since we got here, I think he did try to straighten her out but failed miserably and now he is hoping that either his Mother will be able to straighten her out or that his Mother will follow through with her threat.

“Mom, I have had multiple conversations with Carmen on this subject. She knows I am the one that holds all the power, but it hasn’t stopped her from trying to force some of our Pack–members to leave the territory. She knows she can’t order them and that I will never side with her on this matter. So, she has resorted to bullying and other forms of intimidation.

No one has left our territory and no one will. If she manages to get a Pack–member to doubt if they are still welcome, they come to me first and I thank the Goddess every time. We had to deceit Carmen every single time, but she isn’t as smart as she thinks.” Theseus says.

“What the Fuck do you mean? I won’t lead a Pack filled with abnormalities.” Carmen growls at him.

I am watching the interaction between both Mates and I wonder what Theseus is up to. He seems to calm for a male that has just informed his Mate that he is on to her scheming. “I, Theseus, reject you, Carmen, as my Mate and Luna.” He says, shocking the hell out of all of us.

Only one person doesn’t seem to be too surprised to hear his words, he just looks at Carmen as she is

trying to process what Theseus just said. “I will never accept your rejection, Theseus. You and this Pack are stuck with me for the rest of your lives, I am going to make your life a living hell Carmen growls at him but he just shrugs his shoulders.

Great, that was probably not what anyone had hoped for. There is no way she will ever accept his rejection and I know she will make him feel the pains of betrayal, every chance she gets.

The room has gone quiet after Carmen’s words and she has a very smug look on her face. She knows she has won this round, but I doubt she will win the war if Theseus decides to return the favor. “I don’t care, Carmen. I just want everyone to know that you are no longer this Pack’s Luna and if anyone hears you speaking out of line or trying to order people around, they can put you back in your place.” Theseus says as he sits down in a chair.

Carmen gets escorted out of the Pack–house after Theseus gave her an Alpha command to never set foot in the Pack–house again and for a few moments we all just enjoy the silence that is left with Carmen out of the way.

“Son, can you explain what you meant with deceiving your former Mate?” His Father asks.

“Carmen managed to upset quite a few Pack–members over the years, but each of them came to me with their issues. It took me some time to find a way to make Carmen believe that those Pack–members had actually left the territory, while in reality they are living north–east section of the territory. She could have known they never left, because then she would have felt the Pack–bond break and that never happened.” Theseus says.

This guy isn’t as stupid as he had everyone believing and he came up with the perfect solution to a somewhat strange situation. “Theseus, did Carmen grow up here?” I ask.

“Yes, she did and I thought she got along with everyone just fine. It wasn’t until after I took over from Mom that she started to show all of us a different side, a side I didn’t particularly like. She was never able to give me a straight answer as to why she was against other shifters living in our Pack and I doubt I will ever find that answer.” Theseus responds.

I know Blood Stone Pack has always been a Pack with solely Lycans as Pack–members, but no one will turn Janina or Harper away. If another shifter would have asked to stay In Blood Stone Pack in the past, Grandpa and Dad would have accepted them and now Alayah will accept any shifter that wants to become a part of our Pack.

“You are partially correct, April.” I hear Elder Mathass say to a question I didn’t hear. “There hasn’t been anyone capable of ordering a male or female to accept a rejection for a long time, but that has recently changed.” He says and I look at Alayah, because I know exactly what he is talking about.
