I’m surprised to learn how much information their devices can reveal, and I understand why Sila didn’t want any of us to have access to it. Every device was turned off last night at eight, meaning we couldn’t see who survived the competition. I only know that my Angel made it through.

We didn’t discuss the competition while she was here, so I can’t say if she’s the only one–and truthfully, I don’t care.

“Day seven brought us a surprise, and it wasn’t a good one,” Sila announces. “A future Alpha thought he could bend the rules by having his baby Brother wear his device. Alpha, Gamma, Beta–that’s the order in which the leadership of Dark Moon Pack was taken out.”

She gives the other Packs a few minutes to spout their disgruntlement with Josh’s actions. Then, the screen shifts to days six and five, showing no leadership eliminations.

“Gamma, Beta, Alpha–that’s the order in which the leadership of Amber Moon Pack was eliminated on day four,” Sila states, glaring at Luke.

“Gamma, Beta, Alpha–the order in which the leadership of Sundown Pack was taken out on day three. Alpha, Beta, Gamma–the order in which the leadership of Moon Storm Pack was eliminated on day two. Alpha, Beta–the order in which part of the leadership of Moon Stone Pack was eliminated on day one,” Sila concludes.

Every head in the Throne room turns toward Zalia.

Our tech–guy walks up to Sila to show her something on his tablet and her eyes widen as she looks up at Zalia.

“I just saw that each and every one of you was taken out by Zalia of Moon Stone Pack.” Sila says with a huge smile on her face. Leander and I start applauding her, making her hide her face in Benjamin’s chest.

“Well, if each of you can do the math, I think it is clear that Zalia is the sole survivor of the competition and she is the one that traveled the most distance. However, Moon Stone Pack can’t become the next Royal Pack as the future Alpha is no longer Donovan. With everyone else “Dead“, we need to resolve this in a different

way.

The extra challenge might give us the answer. When your Pack’s name is called, I want to see the reward you found,” Sila says. I see a lot of confused faces in the room, but Sila ignores them.

“Future Royal Beta Sila, why don’t I save us all some time?” Zalia says, rising from her seat and placing her backpack on the chair.

“The necklace of Prince Reginald’s Mate, the ring of the first King, the necklace of the fairy Princess, the bracelet of the one–legged King’s Mate, the necklace of the second King, the ring of the false King, the earrings of the one–eyed Princess, and the crown of the reluctant bride,” Zalia lists, pulling each item from her backpack and holding them up.

“I also have Prince Ammon’s necklace, Leander’s knife, Eryx’s favorite picture, and Deimos‘ shirt,” she adds. “Oh, and I might have written ‘Loser‘ on Eryx’s forehead,” she continues, holding up the items she took from our rooms. At that moment, the screen displays a picture of Eryx taken at night.

“How will you determine who gets the title of Royal Pack?” Alpha Roland asks. Before the King can respond, Zalia turns to him.

“None of you deserve the title of Royal Pack. The reason Angelo didn’t put up a fight for the title is because of all of you.

“Blue Blood Pack lost Pack members over the years because none of you came to defend their borders- borders you all swore to protect if the Royal Pack was called upon. Every one of you who received a call from Alpha Chris ignored it. You are all responsible for the deaths of six Warriors, two Omegas, and one Pup,” Zalia roars.

Everyone close to her drops to their knees in submission. Even Alpha Cameron struggles to approach her.

“Go to Mate. We’re the only ones who can calm her down,” Goliath growls in my head. I jump off the stage and rush to Zalia as fast as I can. Goliath is right–her aura doesn’t affect us. The moment I reach her, I wrap my arms around her, and her aura quickly subsides.

“Are you okay, Angel?” I ask.

“I will be. I just think I need you to keep me calm,” she replies. I lift her into my arms and carry her back. Alpha Cameron nods as I pass him.

“Take good care of my Niece, Future Royal Gamma Deimos,” he says, and I hear a few gasps around us

“Leander, grab her backpack. From now on, you’ll be her personal guard. There is more to Zalia than we know and I’ll be damned if someone comes after my Mate.” I growl through the mind–link.

Eryx moves a seat closer to ensure he’s nearby. Dad sits on my other side, and Leander positions himself right behind me. Zalia is well–protected if anyone tries anything.

King Alwin asks Alpha Chris to explain the accusations Zalia just made. Alpha Chris confirms everything she said–none of his allies responded to his calls when the King needed them.

Alpha Cameron rises from his seat and requests permission to speak. “Alpha Chris, do you believe Angelo could run a Royal Pack with the right support?” he asks once granted permission.

Angelo steps forward beside his father to answer. “If I can count on the help I need, I can run a Royal Pack. But I will never leave my Pack unprotected. We’ve buried enough Pack members because others failed to honor their oaths. I won’t let that happen again/Alpha Cameron,” Angelo replies.

“Good to hear, Angelo,” Alpha Cameron says. “Your Majesty, I believe Angelo is capable of running a Royal Pack. I vow to ensure his Pack is never left unprotected. Angelo, you can call me or Camden if the King ever calls on you, and I’ll make sure the other Packs help defend your borders.”

As Alpha Cameron speaks, I feel Zalia giggle against my chest.

King Alwin turns to Zalia and asks if she agrees with Alpha Cameron–that Blue Blood Pack should remain the Royal Pack.

“I believe that if anyone can force the other Alphas to honor their oaths, it’s Uncle Cameron. Angelo has shown he’ll be a great Alpha by placing his Pack before a title, Your Majesty,” Zalia answers, straightening herself up in my lap.

After reinstating Blue Blood Pack/as the Royal Pack, King Alwin dismisses everyone, as there’s nothing else to address that concerns them. I’m surprised when Alpha Cameron and Alpha Eros request permission to

stay.

“Your Majesty, I’d appreciate it if this could remain between my Pack and the Royal Family,” Alpha Brad

says.

“I’m sorry to disagree, Alpha Brad,” Zalia growls. “Your Son has his entire family here. Gibson has his chosen Mate, and since this concerns me as well, I want my family present–my entire family. That means Alpha Cameron stays, just like Alpha Eros, who is my brother’s Alpha.”
