Mom and Dad lock every door and window, the moment we get home and Grayson leads me into the living room. No one has to tell me that this is serious and somehow I know this has to do with Elias.

“Grayson, start talking. I know that you have answers and I want them right now.” I say and I know he can’t help himself, but answer my question.

Suddenly Dad starts to sing along with Grayson and Mom links me to crawl out of the living room and to head up to my room. I don’t question her strange instructions and as I walk up the stair waiting for me in my room.

The door to my room is open and Avery is sitting on the floor with his back against the foot of my bed, he gestures for me to get on the floor. I crawl into my room and sit down next to him.

Chapter 62 Monog Again

“I couldn’t allow him to do this to you. I don’t know the entire story, but there is something special about you and Alpha Alexander wants you to become Elias‘ Lina. Even if it means a forceful marking Avery whispers and I know that he is right.

We just sit there for a few moments, listening to Dad and Grayson singing as loud as they can and despite the situation I start to giggle. They are now singing a tune Grandma taught us, a song from centuries agra and if she could hear them she would regret ever teaching it to them.

“What are you going to do. Avery?” I ask him, because oubt there are many people that would know what Alpha Alexander and Elias had planned. Which means that it won’t take long before they will understand that Avery warned us.

“Join the King’s Army, maybe. I don’t know, but I know can’t stay here.” He answers me and I quickly send Lucy another message. He saved me and I can’t leave him behind.

Ten minutes later I say goodbye to Avery and Mom shows him out the backdoor again. We eat cake an play a board game to pass the time and after dinner we turn on the TV, making ourselves comfortable.

I chose to put on a marathon of Harry Potter, it will last long enough for us to make our escape and the Warriors will be able to hear what we are watching. With eight movies it will keep us up all night or so they

ill think, but by the time anyone decides to check up on us it will be too late.

Halfway through the first movie, we all crawl to our positions on the ground floor. Dad is in his office to keep an eye on the Warriors on that side of the house, Mom is in the kitchen and Grayson is by the backdoor, while I am still in the living room
