No Divorce? The Billionaire's Love Chase! novel Chapter 129

Gideon's casual explanation felt like a pinprick to York; the words were eerily familiar.

He frowned instinctively but offered Gideon a handshake. "Thank you for taking care of my wife, Mr. Gideon."

Gideon smiled like a gentleman. "You're too kind, Mr. Ferguson. In a way, Claudia is my junior from the same school. It's only natural that I look after her."

Living in the same city and both being from top-tier families, York and Gideon were naturally acquainted.

York stood outside the car, his gaze fixed on Claudia in the backseat.

After a moment's hesitation, he closed the car door for her with practiced courtesy. "Text me when you land."

His tone was gentle, as if nothing unpleasant had ever happened between them.

Claudia smoothed her long hair, offering him no response.

She knew York was a man who cared about appearances. He wouldn't do anything drastic in front of Gideon.

York's complicated gaze lingered on her for a few more seconds before he reluctantly looked away.

Gideon exchanged a few polite pleasantries and then got in the car and left.

York stood there, watching the black car merge into traffic and quickly disappear. But he couldn't tear his eyes away from the road.

Behind him, a white sports car pulled up.

Peter, dressed in a stylish, eclectic outfit and sunglasses, got out.

He walked over to York, followed his gaze, and couldn't help but scoff. "Even if you stand here long enough to turn to stone, Claudia isn't going to look back at you."
