A few minutes later, Claudia came out of the villa.

York handed her a small, exquisite gift box. "I saw this and thought it would suit you, so I bought it."

Claudia opened the jewelry box to find a priceless diamond necklace inside.

She closed the lid and handed it back to York. "Give it to someone more suitable."

York didn't take the necklace. Instead, he reached out and pulled Claudia into his arms.

He held her tightly as she struggled, murmuring into her hair, "I missed you. After the shareholders' meeting, I'll come and take you home, alright?"
