"Lamont?!"
Seeing the man who had just entered, Ann shrank back in terror.
The man, Lamont, was well-dressed and wore glasses. He looked at Ann with utter disgust. "You bitch. It's been years, and you're still up to your old tricks!"
York glanced at Mark, who produced a paternity test report. At the same time, two guards brought Ethan to Ann's side.
York said, "Lamont, this child is yours and Ann's. Am I wrong?"
Lamont shot a disdainful look at Ethan before pointing a finger at Ann, his voice filled with resentment. "Mr. Ferguson, six years ago in Caledon, this bitch knew I was about to get married, but she drugged and seduced me, trying to force me to marry her. When I refused, she left a copy of her pregnancy test for my fiancée and disappeared. She nearly destroyed my engagement."
Lamont continued, "Three years later, she came back with the child, demanding I divorce my wife and give her and the boy a place. When I refused, she demanded I supply her with drugs. I refused that too, so she made my life a living hell until I finally paid her thirty million to go away."
He pointed at Ann again. "Mr. Ferguson, her husband died of a drug overdose. I suspect she was the one who killed him!"
"Lamont, you son of a bitch!" Ann shot back fiercely. "You used me, knocked me up, trapped me in a godawful marriage, and now you're pointing fingers, calling me a murderer without a shred of proof? Have you got no soul left?"
With Ann still refusing to admit anything, York lost his patience. He exposed her lies in front of everyone.
"Ann," York began, "six years ago, you took sixty million from my grandfather behind my back and staged a robbery. Then, you tried to trap Lamont to marry into his wealthy family. When he rejected you, you went into hiding with his child. You were planning to return to the country, but my grandfather saw through your scheme and forced you to marry someone else."
