Chapter 96

My mind was racing. No wonder Leland had been acting so oddly recently. Could it be that he was tricked by Caitlyn?

Feeling doubtful, I went to Leland’s bedroom. I opened the drawer and saw a diagnosis report inside.

It read, “Diagnosis: Advanced Stage Malignancy. Prognosis: Estimated survival period of up to one month. Recommended Course of Action: Conservative treatment approach advised.”

I felt a rush of panic. Did Leland have terminal cancer?

That couldn’t be right. Carlie had told me he was fine.

So, was this diagnosis true or false?

I was puzzled.

Tomorrow, overseas experts would give a consultation. If Leland was not ill, would he continue deceiving me?

Or did he deeply love Caitlyn and believe everything she said?

I took a photo of the diagnosis and sent it to Denise. I needed to keep all the evidence of Caitlyn and Leland’s plot against me.

Turning around, I noticed the painting on the wall. This artwork was something Leland had gone to great lengths to get for me.

I had to admit that Trevon’s painting skills were truly exceptional. I touched the paint and noticed there was even Leland’s blood on it.

But he no longer belonged to me.

From the moment he cheated, I didn’t want him anymore.

Even if Leland was being manipulated by Caitlyn, I wouldn’t trust him anymore.

I took out my phone and called Carlie. I wanted her to check Leland’s medical records.

While waiting, I listed this painting for sale online.

Unexpectedly, a foreign professor liked this painting and bought it for a high price of 2 million dollars.

He left me a message,”In this lifetime, my love is solely yours, Kaylie. My heart will eternally belong to you.”

I felt a bit confused and quickly searched for this foreign professor’s information online.

But aside from learning he was from San Francisco and his name was Tyrell Vaughn, I couldn’t find anything else.

Reluctantly, I gave this person’s basic information to Denise and asked her to have a professional agency investigate.

Although I hadn’t experienced much deceit in the world, I wasn’t foolish. I didn’t know what Leland was up to, but I could find out.

After all, there were no secrets that couldn’t be uncovered, and with enough effort, I could find any information I wanted to find.
