Efrain and Denise rushed over.”Where is Ms. Perez?”

Caitlyn snapped, “Save Mr. Pearson first! He took a knife for Ms. Perez and is nearly dead. We need to get him out of here now!”

Denise angrily shouted, “He brought this on himself! I need to find Kaylie first. If you’re so anxious to save him, you figure out a way to get him out yourself. This is all your fault. You plotted to kill Kaylie, and that’s why he got injured.”

The smoke thickened. The flammable items in the factory ruins were dry and ignited with crackling sounds. The fire intensified.

Caitlyn screamed frantically,”Are you just going to stand by and watch Mr. Pearson die? Can’t you save him first? He’s dying!”

Denise was angry.”

.”You know why we don’t want to save him. I’m Kaylie’s best friend, not yours. I won’t save either of you!”

Caitlyn seethed, raising her hand as if to slap Denise.”Don’t forget, Denise, Mr. Pearson is your boss. You work at the Leslie Group!”

“So what? I’ll just quit. I can save Mr. Pearson, but I would never save you. You’re nothing but a bitch who stole Kaylie’s husband! Why don’t you just die? You deserve to burn to death! I need to find Kaylie now. If I can’t find her, I’ll make sure you pay with your life!”

Efrain coughed harshly, “Enough. I’ll take Mr. Pearson out first. He’s severely injured. Denise, you stay and find Ms. Perez. I’ll be right back!”

Denise nodded, covering her face with a wet towel.”Okay, I’ll go find Kay now and get her out. Those bastards might be hoping she burns to death quickly! Shit, maybe she has already been killed by Leland and Caitlyn! No… no. Kay, where are you?”
