Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 627

Ariana's attitude only deepened Georgia's displeasure. Frowning, she said, "Ariana, back when you married Lambert, I didn’t object too strongly because I could see how much you loved him. Even though he wasn’t in a good place at the time, I still let you go through with it. All these years, I thought you were happy."

Ariana cut in coldly, "I *am* happy."

Georgia pressed her lips together before sighing, her gaze tinged with disapproval. "There’s no need to hide it from me anymore. I know everything. Ariana, you’re my only daughter—do you really think I don’t care about you? It’s only now that I’ve learned the truth: Lambert never loved you. You were just a stand-in for someone else." Her voice trembled with suppressed sorrow. "But how could my daughter ever be someone’s replacement? I knew you kept it from me because you didn’t want me to worry. But now that I know, I can’t stand by and watch you be deceived by Lambert any longer."

Ariana watched Georgia’s performance with icy detachment, her expression unreadable. "So? What exactly are you trying to say?"

Georgia’s heart pounded, especially under her daughter’s frosty stare.

But the thought that leaving things as they were would only hurt not just her biological daughter but Ariana as well steeled her resolve. Better to end things now than let all three of them suffer. With that, the last trace of hesitation vanished from her heart.

She met Ariana’s gaze solemnly. "What I’m saying is—you should divorce Lambert. The White family will always be your home. Come back, and I’ll take care of you properly."

Ariana studied her in silence.

Then, slowly, she smiled—a smile brimming with endless mockery, bitterness, and cold detachment.

Meanwhile, Kiara finally snapped out of her daze.

Staring at her aunt in disbelief, she blurted out without a second thought, "Auntie, are you feeling alright? What on earth are you saying? How could Sister Ariana possibly divorce her husband? They have three—no, four children! What would happen to the kids if they split up? Besides… why would they divorce all of a sudden? Sister Ariana and Brother-in-law have always seemed perfectly happy!"

She was utterly baffled.

Had her aunt lost her mind today? What kind of mother tells her own daughter to just up and get a divorce?

Unless the husband had gone too far.

But the problem was, Ariana and her husband didn’t seem to have any issues… Had something happened without her knowledge? Kiara frowned, but then reconsidered. Even if there was some misunderstanding, she knew how strong Ariana and her husband’s bond was. A little mediation would clear things up.

With four children already, how could they possibly consider divorce so rashly?

Georgia’s expression stiffened. She shot Kiara an ugly look and snapped, "What do you know? If you don’t understand, just sit there quietly and don’t butt in. I’m doing this for Ariana’s own good."

Under normal circumstances, Kiara would have backed off.

Though she had lived with the White family for years, deep down, she still saw herself as an outsider. Whenever she spoke to Gilbert or Georgia, she treaded carefully, afraid of doing anything that might sour their opinion of her.

But this time, she couldn’t just stay silent.

She stood there, rooted to the spot, flustered and lost, unsure what to do. A bitter ache of hurt and injustice welled up inside her. Never had she imagined that her aunt would think so poorly of her…

She adored Ariana because Ariana had always been kind to her. That was why she sought her out, why she cherished their bond.

Yet in Georgia’s eyes, it was all just calculated flattery.

"Enough."

A cold voice cut through the tension. Both Kiara and Georgia instinctively turned toward Ariana, whose expression was unreadable. Kiara’s heart ached with sorrow and humiliation. She wanted to step forward, but after a moment’s hesitation, she quietly sank back into her seat, silenced by her aunt’s earlier words.

Georgia, too, composed herself.

With a sigh, she softened her tone, adopting the weary patience of a mother watching her children stray down the wrong path. "I may have been too harsh just now. Ariana, you must understand—everything I do is for your own good. And Kiara… you’ll see the truth when you’re older."

Kiara paled, casting her a fleeting glance before lowering her head in silence.

As for Ariana?

She lifted her gaze coolly, the ghost of a mocking smile playing at her lips.
