Alpha Henry was a little flustered. He originally thought she would be happy after a confession like that. Why was she crying?

“I’m not!” Aubrey stubbornly shook her head, glaring at him. “It’s just my eyes… my eyes suddenly feel uncomfortable!”

It was such a poor lie. Alpha Henry thought for a moment but chose not to expose it. He gave a helpless smile, lowered his head, and gently blew a puff of air on her eyes.

But his casual action only made countless crystal–clear tears suddenly stream from Aubrey’s eyes, spilling down one after another like pearls from a broken string!

This soft, unassertive, almost spineless tone… in the past, Alpha Henry would never have believed he could say such things. But because it was her, it all seemed to come naturally.

He carefully reached out and patted her shoulder.

Alpha Henry laughed shamelessly. “How could I die? If I died, you wouldn’t have a mate, would you? I couldn’t bear that…”

Aubrey cursed him fiercely in her heart and despised herself. Why did I cry? His words weren’t even that moving! Something must be wrong with my body, my tear ducts must be broken!
