Third Person POV
“You’re right. This matter absolutely involves the Alpha.”
No one expected Barry to admit it. Many in the crowd quieted down, waiting to see what he would say.
Barry pointed at the prisoners on stage and continued, “These people are all criminal werewolves who snuck over from the Southern Continent!
Everyone should still remember, during the Stella Pack riots two years ago, who helped Stella Pack conquer the T–Flu and turn the tide of the war. Although this matter wasn’t widely publicized at the time, everyone should know that our Alpha played an indispensable role in helping Stella Pack end that war so quickly!”
The crowd gradually calmed. They were all very familiar with Alpha Henry’s achievements in Stella Pack and had used them as a source of pride more than once.
After all, a hero who brought such glory to the pack was their Alpha! At the time, his image- battling while bloodied, proud and unyielding–only added to his brilliant halo.
Therefore, even though the Miguel family hadn’t deliberately publicized the Stella Pack affair (due to Henry’s infection), the average werewolf still knew of Alpha Henry’s achievements there through news reports and felt proud of him.
Seeing them thinking, Barry breathed a sigh of relief and continued, “The one who started the riots in Stella Pack and released the T–Flu virus was actually Alpha Ulrich of the Southern Tempest Pack. He died at our Alpha’s hands.
“Therefore, his uncle Killa hates our Alpha to the bone. Just a few days ago, he led men to ambush the Alpha! These people on stage are all his subordinates!”
The crowd didn’t understand. What did these matters have to do with the current Kajit virus crisis in Shadowmoon Pack?
Barry explained, “Last night, the Alpha captured Killa. But before that, Killa sent over a hundred men to capture Ms. Mary, intending to use her as a hostage to force the Alpha to surrender. But Ms. Mary was smart and wasn’t caught. However, she was injured.
“Those despicable Southern bastards, in order to create mass panic in Shadowmoon Pack and to bring a huge loss to the Alpha, poured the virus stock solution onto Ms. Mary’s wound! Ms. Mary was only infected with the virus last night!”
His words set off a firestorm. A clamor erupted from the crowd. Aubrey was only infected
Seeing the crowd’s anger seem to subside, someone grew anxious and shouted.
“He’s lying! Aubrey was clearly infected long ago! Besides, even if she was infected yesterday, she researches the virus! The moment she had a fever, she should have known what was wrong! But she still ran toward people. It was obviously deliberate!
“In the end, this whole thing was caused by the Miguel family and Aubrey! Even if there were Southern terrorists, they were the ones who attracted them, and now we ordinary people are paying the price! The Alpha must take responsibility!”
This time, the person inciting the crowd was quickly caught. Two fully armed beta werewolves in black dragged the man onto the stage. He struggled, his voice turning sharp with fear.
“What are you grabbing me for? Can’t people tell the truth anymore? It was the Alpha and Aubrey who implicated us common people! You think you’ll be forgiven just by shifting the blame? I’m telling you…”
He stopped mid–sentence, because he saw Alpha Henry, walking onto the stage step by step, and heading toward him…
