Sarah agreed. She didn’t plan on staying in the Shadowmoon Pack for long.

She was a witch from the Weeping Forest. She didn’t like the stench of sweat from the werewolves.

She had disguised herself as a wolfless omega to come here for one reason: Aubrey. She wanted to see what kind of person Aubrey was, how she had managed to crack the virus she had invented, and whether she was the person from her teacher’s prophecy.

As they walked, Sarah’s gaze suddenly focused. It landed on a beta werewolf who was holding a long–haired orange cat.

Something was wrong with the cat. She could smell the scent of a witch’s potion on it.

Noticing her stare, Charles glanced at Sarah, his brow furrowing. A strange omega?

He paused, his eyes sliding to Perry, who was standing next to Sarah.

Perry immediately understood and explained, “This is my friend. I’m just about to take her to get a temporary ID. Don’t worry, she won’t cause any trouble in the pack.”

After listening, Charles glanced at Sarah again. So, this must be the rogue omega who’s turned Perry’s head.

Green eyes. Very rare…

He nodded without another word and hurried away, still holding the cat. He was on his way to the vet. The cat had been acting strangely lately. It had been neutered long ago, but recently it had started showing symptoms of being in heat.

Even after he was a good ten meters away, Sarah’s eyes were still fixed on him.

Perry immediately got jealous. “Sarah, you think he’s handsome too, don’t you?”

Sarah, still thinking about the cat, replied distractedly, “Mm.”

Perry looked like he was about to cry. He touched his own face, his mood instantly souring. He really wasn’t as handsome as Charles!

For the next two days, Alpha Henry was busy. He was so busy that when Perry came to see him,

Many of the pack elders who had been traveling had returned, and all of them wanted to meet Aubrey.

Aubrey was secretly relieved. Good. If he’s busy, he won’t be clinging to me all day and night.

However, this return to the Shadowmoon Pack also included one of Alpha Henry’s cousins, Amanda. She had just returned from her travels, and the moment she saw Aubrey, she was completely star–struck, gushing that if Aubrey and Alpha Henry had kids, their combined genes would produce the most stunning children imaginable.

Aubrey was so overwhelmed by her enthusiasm that she fled to the hospital. So, Amanda went to bother Alpha Henry instead.

“What are you so busy with? It’s been days, and you haven’t even had a real conversation with me!”

Amanda circled him, and seeing him focused intently on his computer, she snuck a peek over his shoulder. She just about died laughing.

“What is all this? ‘One Hundred Ways to Chase Your Wife‘? ‘How to Win the Beauty‘? You’re hiding in here reading this?!” Amanda exclaimed, her expression dramatic.

Alpha Henry, having been caught, felt his ears turn red. He shot her a fierce glare. “You’re a kid.

“I’m not a kid anymore! I’ve got, like, three boyfriends!”

Amanda huffed. Her eyes suddenly darted back and forth, and she grinned mischievously. “No way…! You still haven’t sealed the deal with Aubrey? Hmm, now that I think about it, she does seem to be avoiding you!”

Seeing his expression instantly darken, she leaned in triumphantly and nudged him twice with her elbow.

“Have you two… not even slept together? Seriously? You’ve known each other for twenty years! You’re pathetic. Wait… don’t tell me you can’t…?”

“What are you talking about?!” His male pride on the line, Alpha Henry instantly shot back, his face cold. “I’m just… reading this to kill time.”

A cunning look spread across Amanda’s round face.

“Really?” She grinned, revealing her two canine teeth. “Then how come I’ve noticed you two aren’t sleeping together?”
