“In your dreams!”

Aubrey shot him a glare and finally climbed out of bed, preparing to wash up.

When she reached the bathroom door, she turned back and found Alpha Henry still sitting on the bed, looking at her with an unhappy expression.

Aubrey’s lips curled. “Aren’t you getting up? I remember you have a year–end summary meeting to attend today?”

Alpha Henry snorted. “It’s not that important. Don’t you have a meeting this afternoon too? I’ll go with you.”

After a night of passion, they were in the clingy phase. He didn’t want to be apart from Aubrey for even a second, but Aubrey glared at him.

“Skipping the year–end meeting? Are you taking this alpha job too lightly?”

Just as Alpha Henry was about to say something, Aubrey flatly refused. “You have to go. As for me, I’m going to a high–level werewolf healer’s conference. There will be lots of protection, and I’m not the only guest. What’s there to worry about?”

After speaking, she went into the bathroom to wash up. When she came out again, she had returned to her usual calm and self–possessed self. Her black turtleneck and white trench coat gave off an abstinent aura.

When Alpha Henry saw her like this, he couldn’t hold back. He instantly pounced from the bed, pressing her against the door and kissing her for a good while!

“Not yet, Perry is still pursuing her.” Alpha Henry replied, then smiled. “But I think his chances are good. Her willingness to follow Perry and settle in the Shadowmoon Pack is already a statement.”

Aubrey nodded again, showing her agreement.

After eating, Alpha Henry left first for the pack’s alpha office building. She could leave forty minutes later, so she sat on the sofa to read.
