Reborn to Marry My Best Friend's Uncle novel Chapter 30

Cecilia's face was drained of all color. Her lips trembled, but she could barely utter a word.

The truth was out, and the final result carried no suspense.

With indisputable skills, Annie claimed the championship of the fashion design contest.

After the award ceremony, she stepped off the stage with the crystal trophy in her hands. A flood of flashes instantly surrounded her as microphones from reporters nearly pressed against her lips.

"Congratulations on winning, Ms. Steward! What's your view on the rules being changed on the spot?"

"Ms. Steward, do you have anything to say regarding Ms. Lambert's accusations?"

Questions came one after another. Designers and industry professionals swarmed over, warmly offering their congratulations.

All the while, Annie maintained a poised smile and gracefully responded until she caught a glimpse of a familiar silhouette in the crowd.

She politely excused herself from the reporters and walked toward the silhouette.

Hearing footsteps, Christian turned around. His expression instantly softened when he saw that it was her.

"What are you doing here?" Annie asked as she stopped in front of him slightly breathlessly. She looked up to meet his gaze.

Christian's eyes fell on her cheeks, which were flushed pink from her quick walk. Something in his chest tightened.

"Our company, Parker Group, is one of the sponsors of this contest. My higher-ups sent me here to take a look today."

His gaze shifted from her face to the trophy she held, and a faint smile tugged at his lips.

"Congratulations. You were outstanding up there."

His compliment was so simple and direct that Annie looked away in embarrassment. She felt her ears burn. "Thank you."
