Yancey hadn't been attending these kinds of social events much lately, and no one knew what he was doing. After seeing Yancey leave, the people in the private room continued gossiping even louder.

They all knew that Yancey seemed to like Grace again, but Grace's eyes were set on that male escort. She didn't even glance at Yancey's way.

After leaving the private room, Yancey continued his call with Jodie. "Jodie, what do you mean by completely taking care of the problem?"

He couldn't hear anything before as the private room was too noisy, but he had a feeling that it was about Grace.

Jodie was in a great mood tonight, so she immediately spilled the secret between her and Joanne to Yancey.

"Yancey, I believe that you hate Grace too, right?" Jodie asked.

Yancey clenched his fist as he looked up at the dark sky.

"Did you guys succeed?" When he was asking this, a hint of light flashed in his eyes.

Jodie's tone immediately became triumphant. "Of course. But I still don't know what Joanne plans to do next. She's more quick-witted than me and always full of ideas. I'll give her a call after a few days to check with her. And by the way, Grace still doesn't know that Joanne has never considered her a friend."

Yancey quietly sneered. Grace had brought this onto herself. Who knew where her true feelings really lay?

He hadn't planned to get involved in this as long as Grace stayed alive. When everyone turned their back on her and he was the only one standing beside her, she would finally realize how much he truly cared.

But he just couldn't let go. The bitterness and resentment had been boiling within him, spiraling out of control and almost pushing him to the brink of insanity.

The only way he could stop himself from doing something reckless was to take it out in the boxing ring. So, he decided to wait and see for now.

"Yancey, are you still listening? I have a feeling that Joanne won't let Grace die so easily. All we need to do is to just quietly wait for her good news. Have you heard everyone talking about the male escort that Grace is keeping? Who knows if she caught something from him?" Jodie speculated.
