Regret Came Too Late (Grace and Ethan) novel Chapter 470

Grace really hid her boyfriend too well. No one knew where he lived or what he looked like—not even Yancey.

Joanne lightly tapped her fingers on the table. "We just need to use that boyfriend of hers to create a misunderstanding between Grace and Ethan. Grace is already in my hands now. Let me see if you're capable of handling her boyfriend."

After taking out a pen and a piece of paper, she wrote an address on the paper. It was where Grace had been locked up. She slowly slid the paper toward Yancey.

"Mr. Henderson, I'll leave the rest to you."

This was what made Joanne so clever. She would never let herself be exposed to danger. If there was someone she could use, she would not hesitate for a second.

Even if Ethan started investigating the matter, someone as proud as Yancey would never sell her out. She could continue lying low near Grace for a long time.

As she thought about this, the corners of her lips curled up.

When she stood up and grabbed her bag, she only said, "I'll only lock her up until tomorrow morning. If you decide not to do anything, then I'll proceed with my original plans."

She had always been pretty patient, especially anything related to Grace. She would never rush things, and that was why she could succeed every time.

As Yancey looked at the address in front of him, he pressed his lips into a thin line and called Liam in the end. If there was anyone who knew more information about Grace's boyfriend, that would be Liam.

But Liam's voice was very hoarse when he answered the call. His tone was also unusually low, and his entire demeanor carried a sense of devastation.

Yancey took a deep breath and asked Liam, "Do you know Grace's boyfriend's phone number? His address works too."

Liam did know Ed's phone number. He casually rolled over in bed, but a trace of caution crept into his mind, and he became more wary than before.

To be honest, he didn't really like Yancey. It was because of Yancey that Grace and Alice turned against each other, making the Lambert family into a mess. If he thought about it, Yancey was actually a very irresponsible man.

Liam gave a small smile and replied, "No, I don't know."

Liam hated the man hiding behind Grace even more. Even though they hadn't met, he had already caught a glimpse of the cunning and calculation lurking beneath that man's surface.

He didn't want anyone to bother Joanne when she was helping Grace to regain her memories. He thought all his questions would be answered once Grace regained her memories.

Yancey furrowed his brows and lowered his tone. "Liam, I need it to help Grace."

Liam immediately sat up from his bed, his tone aggressive. "If you really wanted to help her, then you wouldn't have let her be the laughingstock of Druville all these years!"

Yancey was instantly at a loss for words. He didn't know Liam had been holding a grudge against him over this. Why hadn't he brought it up before?

Liam didn't even know why he had been feeling so restless lately. Maybe it was Andrea's death, the loss of the child, the way his family had fallen apart, or maybe it was because he hadn't gotten the answers he wanted from Grace.

He wanted to know if Grace was only after the Lamberts' assets or if she really cared about him—her so-called brother. He was almost at the edge of his sanity and wanted to grab something as his final straw.

He immediately hung up the phone and weakly fell back into his bed.
