Liam had a complicated expression on his face when he rubbed the area between his eyes.

"I want to go see that old alternative medicine practitioner again. Maybe he knows something. Sebastian, my mind's a mess. My life turned upside down in just one year—the year I turned 20," Liam said.

Sebastian let out a sigh and decided to be straightforward, so he asked, "Does that mean you're responsible for Ms. Lambert's disappearance?"

Liam didn't say a word and put down his hand, his shoulders slumping. "I just want to let her get her memories back."

He never intended to hurt Grace or steal the company from her. He just wanted to know whether her kindness toward him was genuine. He was scared and wanted some confirmation.

Sebastian had already started walking toward the door. He just said, "You should properly apologize to Ms. Lambert, and maybe she'll still forgive you. If you don't do anything, you'll be erased from her world after she comes back."

Liam had the same feeling too.

In Grace's world, she would protect those she approved of when she was willing to do so. If she wasn't, she wouldn't even spare that person a glance no matter how much money they offered her.

Liam immediately became anxious and restless. After Sebastian left, he called Joanne. "Joanne, where's Grace? I need to talk to her in person," he asked.

Joanne's brows furrowed as she wondered what had changed Liam's mind so suddenly. A hint of coldness flashed across her eyes as she started to comfort him, "It's too late tonight, Liam. Why don't we talk about this tomorrow afternoon?"

She should be done with her plans by then.

Liam looked at the time and saw that it was almost 4:00 am. He grabbed his clothes from the side and prepared to go out.
