Alcee felt the thick warm arms of Torq wrapping around her as he slid into bed.

“You’re back?” she questioned quietly turning to snuggle into his chest. She sniffed his skin and sighed regrettably, “you already showered?”

“My love, you were snoring loud enough to wake the dead. I’m surprised you even felt me get into the bed, you were so out of it. You’re exhausted. Go back to sleep.” He kissed her forehead tenderly.

“I tried to wait up for you. I was worried about you?”
