She’s Back, and Hell’s Coming with Her novel Chapter 323

After Frank finished his speech, he tossed his head and swaggered toward the only empty seat at the back of the classroom. He plopped down right next to Shawn.

He glanced around, surprised to see that Sabrina was now his desk mate.

Then he caught sight of Shawn’s sharp, brooding gaze and broke into a mischievous grin.

“Shawn! Long time no see. Missed me, haven’t you?”

Technically, they’d only been classmates for a month, but their bond ran deep—they’d known each other since childhood. Frank lived in Crowncrest City, Shawn in Port City, but that didn’t matter. Frank’s mom was Shawn’s aunt, which made them first cousins.

Frank was the kind of guy who fit in anywhere. He always seemed cheerful, but when it came down to it, he could be just as ruthless as Shawn. Because of that, most classmates kept a respectful distance from both of them.

Shawn shot Frank a look of pure distaste, taking in his flamboyantly loud shirt and outlandish hair. Was he seeing things? Just a month ago, when Shawn visited his aunt in Crowncrest City, Frank had looked totally normal. What on earth had gotten into him? Now he was dressed like he’d lost a bet.

“Frank, what are you wearing? Aren’t you worried my aunt will find out?” Shawn said dryly.

Frank shot him a warning glare. “Keep your mouth shut. I just want to be myself, without anyone telling me who to be!”

With a melodramatic sigh, Frank slumped in his seat. His whole life felt like a cage. His dad never missed a chance to compare him to his older brother, Nixon. But how could anyone compete with Nixon? That guy’s brain worked on a whole different level. Frank always joked that their parents must’ve hit the genetic jackpot with Nixon—and left him with whatever was left over.

Nixon was a genius; let him take over the family business. Frank had zero interest in fighting over the inheritance. He’d happily put Nixon on a pedestal, send him a little spending money every month, and live his own life on cruise control.

Just take it easy and enjoy life—that’s all he wanted. He didn’t need much, just a little freedom.
