Sorry, I'm the Final Boss Now novel Chapter 120

Hannah refused to walk another step. Joshua was tired, too; his feet were cramping. Who had locked Marguerite in her room, anyway?

This clearly wasn’t working. Joshua pressed a finger to the bridge of his nose, thinking hard. Soon, a new idea came to him.

He stood up and said to Hannah, “You get some rest. I have to step out and make a work call. The film crew has been hounding me to come back, but I need to request a few more days off to stay with you.”

Hannah was deeply touched. “Thank you, Joshua. I love you.”

He pinched her cheek playfully and slipped out of the room.

At the nurses’ station, Joshua found the head nurse. She immediately straightened up. “Mr. Green, is there anything I can help you with?”

He pulled her aside. “Find a way to get the family member from room 1004 to come out here.”

The head nurse frowned. “Well, I don’t know…”

“You can’t do it?” Joshua’s voice turned cold. “Do you want to keep your job?”

Her scalp prickled with fear. “I can! I can do it! I’ll do it right now.” I can’t take another day of this. I swear, I’m going to burn this place to the ground.

Despite her inner turmoil, her mind raced. She returned to her desk and activated the intercom. The system allowed patients to call for a nurse, but it also worked the other way around.

In room 1004, Jenny was asleep. Marguerite, tired from studying, was resting on the sofa near the balcony. The nurse brought over a plate of sliced fruit. “Ms. Lopez, have some fruit.” The boy with the long bangs had asked her to make sure she ate, and he had bought the fruit himself.

Marguerite sat up. “Thank you.”

The nurse smiled and handed her a fork. “Here you go.”

“It’s okay,” Marguerite said, shaking her head. She’d been cooped up in the room for a while and wanted to stretch her legs. “You stay with Jenny. I’ll go get it.”

Knowing Marguerite was on her way, Joshua sprinted back to room 1005. Hannah was still lying in bed.

He took her good hand. “Feeling rested, baby? Let’s go for another walk. I just asked the nurse, and she said walking is good for your recovery.”

Hannah was skeptical. “Really?” How could walking possibly help her arm?

Nevertheless, they left the room hand in hand, and just as they did, they both saw a beautiful figure walking down the hallway ahead of them. Hannah frowned slightly and glanced at Joshua.

When Marguerite arrived at the nurses’ station, she smiled brightly. “I’m the family from 1004. What did you need me to pick up?”
