Sorry, I'm the Final Boss Now novel Chapter 185

Marguerite didn’t want to hide anything from her friend. “I time-traveled from eleven years ago.”

Lindsay shook her head. “That’s impossible. I must be dreaming.”

“Feel me,” Marguerite offered. “I’m solid.”

Lindsay reached out and squeezed her arm, then her chest. “So firm… and you’re real!”

Marguerite: “…”

She smiled tightly. “I meant my face.” Only Lindsay, who had slept over countless times, knew just how incredible her figure was under her usually loose-fitting clothes.

Lindsay let out a shriek of pure joy. “Oh my god, you’re really alive! This is the best day ever!” She spun Marguerite around in a hug, nearly tossing her into the pond.

“Put me down!” Marguerite cried, feeling dizzy. “I’m going to be sick!”

Lindsay set her down but continued to stare, then crossed her arms, pouting so hard you could hang a coat on her lip. “You’ve obviously been back for more than a day. Why didn’t you call me?”

The moment the words were out, Lindsay winced. Stupid mouth. Why am I blaming her? It was because they had fought.

Her expression softened, and she took Marguerite’s hand again. “I’m so sorry, Maggie.”

Marguerite smiled gently. “It’s okay. It was a long time ago.”

“It was a long time for me, but not for you,” Lindsay insisted, shaking her head. “I’m truly sorry. I’m going to make it up to you. Let’s add each other on WhatsApp. And send me your bank details.”

Marguerite frowned. “What for?”

Marguerite wrapped an arm around her, patting her back gently.

Lindsay wiped her tears, pouting. “I’m not crying. I’m just smiling with my tear ducts.”

They only had a short time to talk before Marguerite had to get back for her afternoon classes and a nap.

After evening study hall, Marguerite walked out of the school to find a red sports car parked by the curb. The window rolled down to reveal a stunning woman with fiery red lips, waving at her. “Maggie!”

Marguerite hadn't checked her phone during study hall and hadn’t realized Lindsay was coming. She sent her driver home and hopped into Lindsay’s car.

As she got in, Lindsay tilted her head. “I’m staying at your place tonight. We’re having a sleepover.”
