Sorry, I'm the Final Boss Now novel Chapter 189

There was no way Joseph would like a twenty-nine-year-old hag!

But his post had opened the floodgates.

LookingForHotGuys: [I’m a hot girl, and I do not agree with expelling Marguerite!]

AAACottonBriefs: [I’m a Power Ranger, and I do not agree with expelling Marguerite!]

CheatingExpert: [I’m a cockroach, and I do not agree with expelling Marguerite!]

HungryHippos: [I’m the gum on your shoe, and I do not agree with expelling Marguerite!]

Seeing the wave of bizarre, meme-like support for Marguerite, Judy’s eyes turned icy. Her fingernails dug into her palms, but she didn’t notice. Were they trying to make a viral video on the school forum?

A malicious glint appeared in her eyes as she thought of Irene. Irene was her follower, but she was also a member of the wealthy Wood family. If Irene demanded Marguerite’s expulsion, not even the principal could ignore it.

She would talk to Irene tomorrow. The girl was naive; she’d be the perfect pawn.

At that thought, Judy’s smile returned.

Marguerite would be expelled. It was only a matter of time.

“What are you looking at?” Lindsay asked, noticing Marguerite had been staring at her phone the entire drive.

The streetlights illuminated her face, highlighting her long, curved lashes, high cheekbones, and perfect bone structure. She was almost inhumanly beautiful. Having a best friend as gorgeous and kind as Marguerite had set Lindsay’s standards impossibly high, which was why she hadn’t found a new best friend in all these years. Now that she was back, Lindsay was willing to forgive the cruel world for five minutes.

The red sports car pulled up outside the villa. Marguerite messaged George, and a moment later, the handsome man, dressed in a casual white outfit, opened the gate.

Lindsay got out of the car and stared, momentarily stunned. The few times she had seen George before, it had been from a distance, and he had always been in a formal suit, exuding an air of untouchable nobility. Seeing him in casual clothes, with his glasses, he gave off a surprisingly gentle, husband-like vibe.

Lindsay nudged Marguerite with her elbow. “Damn, he has total husband energy. He’s the perfect guy to marry.”

Marguerite’s eyes widened. “Keep your voice down!” What if George heard her?

They walked to the door. Marguerite made the introductions. “This is Lindsay, my best friend.”

Lindsay raised an eyebrow. “Maggie, aren’t you going to introduce me to this handsome gentleman?” They had never been formally introduced.

Marguerite glanced at George. Under the moonlight, the beautiful man was looking at her with a gentle expression. Her heart suddenly started beating faster, and when she opened her mouth, the words just tumbled out. “This is George, my husband.”
