Sorry, I'm the Final Boss Now novel Chapter 66

Aaron?

He couldn't remember the last time someone had called him by that name.

Maybe someone at Pinecrest High had the same name?

Despite this thought, Aaron instinctively paused.

The voice was familiar, yet strangely foreign. It was a feeling he couldn't quite describe.

Had a classmate from kindergarten recognized him? It was possible; some of his old classmates probably ended up at Pinecrest. He didn't really want to be recognized, so after a brief hesitation, he kept walking without a backward glance. He figured if he ignored it, the person would assume they’d made a mistake and leave it at that.

The guy with yellow hair walking beside him, however, did look back. His eyes widened.

“Whoa, where did that angel come from?”

After staring for a few seconds, he realized his boss was already getting ahead. He hurried to catch up. “Boss, hey, boss! There’s a really beautiful girl back there. I think she was calling you.”

Aaron resisted the urge to turn around, his voice flat. “She wasn't calling me.”

Yellow felt a pang of disappointment.

Just then, a slender figure dashed up to them, tapping his boss on the shoulder.

“Aaron! Are you deaf?”

Aaron froze.

Yellow froze.

A knot of dread formed in Yellow’s stomach. How could this girl just walk up and start insulting him? Did she have any idea who she was talking to? This was the kingpin of Westside High!

The voice was musical and captivating. Hearing it again, a face began to connect with the sound. But that was impossible.

This time, Aaron couldn’t stop himself from turning around.

He didn’t believe her and reached for her head again. “Let’s go find some shade to talk.”

Yellow was also dumbfounded. This angel was his boss’s sister? Why had he never mentioned her?

“Can you see me?” the angel suddenly asked him.

Thrilled, Yellow nodded like a woodpecker. “Yes, yes, I can! Angel sister!”

Marguerite turned back to Aaron. “See? Yellow can see me.”

“The angel sister knows my name is Yellow? Boss, do you talk about me with her often?” Yellow blushed.

Marguerite and Aaron shared a moment of exasperation. With that bright yellow hair, was it really that hard to guess his name?

It was starting to sink in for Aaron. He glanced at the ground and saw that Marguerite had a shadow.
