Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 110

Edric watched Emma with soft, knowing eyes. He could tell she hadn't been completely honest just now. But that was fine—as long as she was safe, nothing else mattered.

After all the chaos, Emma no longer felt like dancing.

"It's getting late," she said quietly. "I think I'll head back and rest. What about you, Aria?"

"I'm tired too. Let's go together."

Aria took Emma's hand as they left. On the way back, she started talking again about her brother.

"Emma, are you sure you don't want to consider my brother? He's the strongest male in all of Aurelia's younger generation."

Emma listened with half a smile, but Lucien's image flashed through her mind. She asked casually, "Stronger than the second prince of Aurelia?"

Aria arched a brow and smiled mysteriously. "You'll see when you meet him. I'm not giving away the surprise."

Maybe then, she thought, Emma would like Lucien even more.

Back in their room, Edric tidied up the lounge and told Emma to rest there.

The lounge had only one narrow bed—just enough for a female to sleep alone.

Emma was about to step in when she heard Corvin scolding Coalball.

"Coalball, where did you run off to? I've been looking everywhere for you! You can't just disappear like that. There were so many people at the ball—you're so tiny and dark, someone could've stepped on you!"

The little bird lay still in Corvin's palm, listening quietly while he rambled.

Edric chuckled and explained to Emma, "Coalball climbed out of Corvin's pocket earlier. Gave him quite the scare. Don't worry—Corvin adores that little thing now. He'll just nag, not punish."

Emma nodded with a smile. She believed that Corvin could take good care of Coalball. "Corvin treats Coalball like his own baby. I trust him."

Then, she leaned forward and gave Edric a quick kiss on the cheek.

"You should rest too. There's a small table in the lounge—I'll leave Silas on it to keep me company."

Edric nodded. "Alright."

Silas, in his current state, couldn't do much anyway. He picked him up from beside Jimmy and handed him to Emma.

She carried Silas into the lounge and shut the door behind her. The room was small—barely enough space for the single bed and a table—but it had a private bathroom, which was a relief.

She placed Silas on the table, then took a quick shower. After drying her hair and changing into her sleepwear, she sat on the bed, ready to prick her finger with a thin needle and let a drop of blood fall onto Silas.

He had worked hard; four leaves had already grown. In a few more days, his first flower would bloom.
