Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 175

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**

**Chapter 175: Morning Rituals**

Lucien was a force to be reckoned with—strong and astute, his calculating mind made him a formidable opponent. Silas? That one was all about cunning, a slippery character who could twist words like a serpent. Edric? No, that snake had a bag full of tricks too, always ready to strike. Corvin? Well, he was a fool, but there was no urgency in dealing with him. Ah, yes, the half-dead wolf—the one who had the audacity to hurl insults my way and tell me to die. He would be my starting point.

As dawn broke the next morning, Corvin stepped out of his room, only to halt abruptly at the sight before him. Malrik was on his knees, positioned reverently in front of Silas’ door. A wave of shock washed over Corvin, and he rushed over, curiosity piquing his interest. “Malrik, what on earth are you doing kneeling here?” he asked, bewildered.

Had Malrik offended Silas somehow? The thought raced through Corvin’s mind, creating a knot of concern in his stomach.

With a humble smile that barely masked his frailty, Malrik replied, “I’m waiting for Ms. Tibarn to wake up.”

Corvin blinked, confusion etched across his face. “But… why kneel here?” he pressed, trying to understand the reasoning behind this unusual display.

Malrik looked genuinely baffled by the question. “Isn’t this what a suitor and mate are supposed to do? For heaven’s sake, don’t you gentlemen serve Ms. Tibarn like this every morning?”

Corvin fell silent, the weight of realization settling heavily on his shoulders. That was… certainly not how things were done in their circle. No one had ever mentioned such a ritual, and Emma had never asked for it either.

Feeling a surge of guilt, he dropped to his knees beside Malrik, a newfound determination igniting within him. “I didn’t know before, but now I do,” he declared, his voice steady.

From this moment forward, he would kneel and await Emma’s awakening too. He couldn’t allow Malrik, who had joined their ranks later, to outshine him. The feline wasn’t as dull-witted as he had initially believed.

Before long, Lucien and Edric emerged from their respective rooms, only to be greeted by the sight of both Corvin and Malrik kneeling before Silas’ door.

“What in the world are you two doing?” Lucien asked, incredulity coloring his tone. What kind of nonsense was this so early in the day?

With a straight face, Corvin replied, “We’re waiting for Emma to wake up. Malrik said that as suitors and mates, this is how we’re supposed to serve our huntress.”

He even shuffled aside, making room for Lucien and Edric to join them in this absurd display.

Malrik, still sounding fragile, added softly, “This is the custom I was taught in the Enchanter Clan. As long as I can serve Ms. Tibarn well, I’m willing to do anything. Prince Lucien, if you’re unable to do this, that’s perfectly fine. Ms. Tibarn hasn’t demanded it from you.”

Merlin bowed his head in silence, a bitter thought crossing his mind. Huh! The Aurelia prince—used to being revered, he would never stoop to kneel before anyone, not even his own huntress.

But once Ms. Tibarn stepped out and witnessed Corvin and me kneeling while Lucien stood tall… perhaps at first, she wouldn’t mind. But as time passed, she would surely notice. She might even begin to resent him.
