Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 183

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live**
**by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 183: A Trade of Flowers and Leaves**

Silas reached into the depths of his storage band, his fingers deftly navigating through the various pouches until he pulled out four small, neatly tied bags filled with vibrant leaves. With a casual flick of his wrist, he tossed them toward Corvin, a playful glint in his eyes. “Here you go, one pack for each of you. Make sure to share them among yourselves.”

As Corvin caught the pouches, a sense of camaraderie filled the air, and Silas dug deeper into the band, retrieving a pouch that was far more ornate, its fabric shimmering slightly in the light. He approached Emma with a gentle smile, extending the pouch toward her. “This one is for you.”

Emma looked up, a hint of surprise in her eyes. “But you just gave me a bag last night,” she reminded him, a playful frown forming on her lips. She couldn’t help but wonder—had he really gone and plucked himself bald again?

Silas chuckled softly, the sound warm and reassuring. “Oh, my ability has fully recovered now. I can grow a fresh batch of leaves every single day—and shed a good number too.” He paused for a moment, his gaze softening as he continued, “If I don’t collect them, they’ll just end up wasted.”

The leaves he had distributed to Corvin and the others were those that had naturally fallen from his vines, but the pouch he handed Emma was something special—filled with only the most exquisite, freshly hand-picked leaves.

“Emy,” he said softly, brushing a tender kiss against her cheek, “in just a couple of days, I’ll be able to bloom again. When that happens, you can come and pick the flowers yourself, all right?”

The memory of Silas in full bloom, vibrant and alive, filled Emma’s mind, and a smile broke across her face. “All right,” she replied, her voice laced with warmth and affection.

Corvin, tucking his packet away with a sense of urgency, leaned in closer and asked in a hushed tone, “Silas, can I get a few of your flowers too? I’d be willing to trade you some gear for them.”

Silas was, after all, the only mutated Crescent Vine in existence. His flowers were not just beautiful; they were extraordinary.

With a flick of his wrist, Silas tossed a leaf into the small tank housing the pink fish, watching as it swam lazily to the surface. “This time,” he said, his tone light yet firm, “all the flowers are reserved for Emy. You’ll have to wait for the next batch.”

Lucien, who had been listening intently, couldn’t hold back any longer. “You can’t play favorites, Silas. If Corvin is getting something, don’t forget about me, Edric, and Marcus.” His voice held a tone of mock indignation, but there was a glimmer of genuine concern beneath it.

He had no intention of missing out on this opportunity. The last time he had attempted to acquire even a single flower from Silas, the other man had treated his request as if he were asking for a vital organ.

Marcus, on the other hand, was indifferent. He had little use for the flowers, but as he observed the exchange, he couldn’t shake the feeling that it would look odd if he didn’t get something while everyone else did.

Emma’s mind wandered as she imagined Silas as a bare vine, stripped of all its leaves and blossoms. The humorous mental image nearly made her burst into laughter, but she managed to stifle it just in time.
