Chapter 187 Departure
“I promise.” Lucien nodded earnestly. “I’ll protect the Empire–and you.”
Emma felt her heart flutter slightly at the sight of his serious expression.
Rising on her tiptoes, she brushed a light kiss against his lips. “I believe you”
He said, “I’ll join you on A3 as soon as I finish the meeting.”
There was nothing he hated more than having to part with her.
He did not know how long she would be gone this time. But it would take at least three days before she could return, if not more.
Three days!
It feels almost like three years instead!
Once Lucien and Emma finished their conversation, Silas immediately walked over and pulled Emma aside.
He handed her a storage band.
“Emma, I packed some outdoor gear for you.
“Don’t forget to check what else you might need when you arrive on Planet A3. If you’re missing anything, send me a message right away. I’ll arrange for the locals to deliver the supplies to you immediately.”
With Corvin’s personality, he would never have thought about such mundane things.
Marcus would be too lazy to prepare anything.
Edric might make some preparations, but he was nowhere as thorough as Silas. Anything he prepared would never be as complete as what Silas had put together.
Silas had stayed up late last night researching. After combing through various guides, he made a checklist and assembled everything Emma needed on her trip.
The supplies had been delivered at the crack of dawn.
“Thanks, Silas.”
She took a look at the contents inside the storage band.
He was truly meticulous; even she would never have thought to prepare everything so thoroughly.
Lucien, who was watching them from the side, kicked himself in annoyance. Why didn’t I think about preparing anything for Emma?
He quickly made a note in his lightcore, reminding himself to prepare the necessary supplies for Emma/3
on her next trip somewhere.
“Emma, remember the starrail application Edric filed for you previously? It has been approved, Silas continued. “From now on, you’ll be able to use your own personal starrail wherever you go.”
“It’s done? So fast?”
Emma was genuinely surprised. She had thought it would take at least a month to get approved.
“In that case, I’ll be taking my personal starrail on this trip.”
She immediately sent a message to Aria.
Emma: Aria, I’ve gotten my own personal starrail! Let’s take mine for this trip!”
Upon receiving the message, Aria nearly died of envy.
Aria: ‘Heck, yes!‘
I wish I could get my personal starrail back, too…
She used to enjoy her own personal starrail, but her mother had taken the privilege away after she nearly caused a major incident.
It still hadn’t been returned, even now.
Silas and Lucien had to attend an important meeting that morning, so they couldn’t see Emma off on her trip.
After watching the two men leave, Emma returned to her room to get Edric and pack her bags.
Corvin finished checking the supplies he had bought, then went to wake Marcus.
“Hey, Marcus! Hurry up and get up! The stuff I bought to set up your room has just arrived. We can start organizing your things now.”
Marcus climbed out of his crystal coffin.
Storing the crystal coffin in his storage band, he glanced at Corvin, who had just entered the room.
“What do you need me to do?”
“Just wait outside,” Corvin replied confidently. “I don’t need your help. I’ve already finished preparing the spatial stone last night.”
“Okay, then I’ll wait outside.” Marcus calmly turned around and strolled out the door, leaving his room completely in Corvin’s hands.
As soon as Marcus was gone, Corvin dove into the project and started setting up the room with full confidence.

He worked quietly for quite some time–until someone came to get him.
“Corvin, Ms. Tibarn said it’s time to depart.”
“Alright.” Placing the last piece of décor, he nodded in satisfaction and quickly left the room.
Marcus asked from the doorway. “Is it done?”
“It’s done.” Corvin nodded. “Do you want to have a look? I guarantee you’ll love it.”
