Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 192

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 192: A Success**

In a flurry of motion, Emma scooped up Cotton Candy, the little fluffball that had somehow managed to wander off again. She rapped gently on its head, her voice laced with urgency. “You really need to stop sneaking off like this! It’s not safe for you here!”

Her heart raced, a whirlwind of anxiety swirling in her mind, primarily because of Edric’s perilous situation. In her worry for him, she had completely lost track of this mischievous creature.

As she scolded Cotton Candy, her gaze shifted to Marcus, who was nonchalantly leaning against the sturdy trunk of a nearby tree, arms crossed. With a determined stride, she hurried over to him, Cotton Candy nestled in her arms.

Just as she closed the gap between them, her eyes widened in horror at the sight of Edric engaged in a fierce battle with a monstrous beast.

“Ed—”

She instinctively clamped a hand over her mouth, dread flooding her as she feared that her voice might distract him from the fight.

The sight of blood seeping from Edric’s wounds sent a jolt of panic through her. It looked agonizing.

“Marcus, please, help him!” she pleaded, her voice trembling as she nudged Marcus in Edric’s direction, desperation etched across her face.

Marcus straightened, shaking his head slightly. “Emma, you have to understand. Edric is using this fight as a critical opportunity to break through his limits. This is his moment. He doesn’t need my intervention right now; he can do this on his own.”

Her heart sank at his words, but she nodded slowly, understanding, albeit reluctantly. “I see,” she murmured, feeling the weight of concern settle heavily in her chest. She tightened her grip around Cotton Candy, her eyes glued to Edric as he fought valiantly.

The sight of Edric’s snake form was a mix of beauty and brutality; his scales were marred with patches and cuts, evidence of the fierce battle he was enduring.

Yet, despite the toll it had taken on him, he continued to push forward with unwavering determination.

Emma stood beside Marcus, her fingers nervously clutching the hem of her shirt as beads of sweat formed on her forehead. The tension in her body was palpable, a tight coil of anxiety that threatened to unravel her.

Noticing her distress, Marcus tilted his head slightly and, with surprising gentleness, pulled her into his embrace. “Don’t worry, Emma. Just breathe. I promise you, I won’t let him die,” he murmured, his voice low and reassuring, wrapping around her like a warm blanket.

Lifting her gaze to meet his, Emma felt the knot of anxiety in her chest loosen just a bit as she gazed into his deep, steady eyes.

Suddenly, a piercing yowl erupted from the beast, snapping her attention back to the fight.

Emma’s breath caught in her throat as she witnessed Edric’s dark purple snake form wrapping itself tightly around the massive creature, his venomous fangs sinking deep into the beast’s thick neck.

The Rank 10 beast thrashed wildly, a desperate attempt to dislodge Edric, but the struggle began to wane as the venom coursed through its system. With a resounding crash, the beast collapsed to the ground, its massive body creating a crater upon impact.

“Edric!” Emma cried out, her voice breaking as she finally allowed her concern to spill forth. Without a second thought, she thrust Cotton Candy into Corbin’s waiting arms and sprinted toward Edric.

As she approached, Edric’s gaze flicked to her, a glimmer of recognition in his eyes.

In an instant, his snake form shifted back to his human guise, a look of relief washing over his features. “Emma…” he breathed, a faint smile forming as the fight seemed to drain from him. His body, however, betrayed him as he faltered and fell into a dead faint.

“Edric!” Emma screamed, her heart racing as she dove to his side, her eyes wide with alarm at the sight of his battered body.

In a flurry of urgency, she pulled out the flower Silas had given her, its petals delicate and shimmering. Without hesitation, she pressed it to Edric’s lips, hoping for a miracle.

Almost immediately, she could see the wounds beginning to mend, the flower working its magic.

But Edric remained unconscious.
