Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 241

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley 241**
**Chapter 241: Paternity Crisis**

It was amusing, really, how everyone spoke with such authority on matters they had never truly experienced. Did they really believe that parenting was merely a collection of tips and tricks passed down through instinct and tradition?

And those books and videos Corvin insisted on sharing? That was the pinnacle of their so-called “education.”

Edric pressed his lips tightly together, feeling a surge of frustration. “Emma’s fine—she’s asleep now. But are you absolutely certain the baby isn’t yours?”

Corvin’s response was immediate, his nod firm and unwavering. “It’s definitely not mine. If Emma tells me not to do something, I’d rather face death than disobey her.”

He truly had no yearning for children at this stage of his life. The mere thought of tiny, ravenous beings chasing after him, wailing for milk, sent a shiver down his spine.

“Then what about you and Marcus?” Corvin shot back, his tone sharp. “Either way, I can assure you it’s definitely not me.”

Edric shook his head, resolute. “It’s not me either.”

Corvin, however, seemed unconvinced. “Fine. Just wait for me. I’m heading back as soon as I can.”

With a sigh, Edric closed his lightcore and returned to the ward, shaking his head at Marcus. “Corvin says it’s not him either.”

They were only three men who had formed a bond with Emma, so whose child could this possibly be?

The following night, Emma stirred awake.

The first thing that greeted her when her eyes fluttered open was the stark, sterile ceiling of a hospital room.

Beside her, Marcus and Edric stood, their expressions a mix of concern and something else—was it guilt? Even Corvin was there, having rushed back in a state that suggested he’d just escaped a disaster; his clothes were torn and stained with soot, and the dark circles under his eyes were a testament to sleepless nights.

“What happened to me?” Emma asked, her gaze darting between the three of them. “Corvin, why did you rush back?”

Is she… sick?

No, that couldn’t be right.

She recalled being in Marcus’ room, ready to leap at him playfully, when an overwhelming wave of drowsiness had washed over her.

And then—nothing.

Edric took her hand, his grip firm yet trembling with an unspoken weight. “Emma, listen to me. Please don’t panic, and try not to get angry either.”

That tone of his only left her blinking in confusion. “What’s going on?”

He didn’t look like a man about to deliver devastating news about an illness. If that were the case, his face would be etched with distress, not guilt, not this nervous energy, and certainly not the warning to remain calm.

Corvin and Marcus both stared at the floor, their silence as heavy as lead.

Edric inhaled deeply, as if bracing himself for impact. “Emma… you’re pregnant.”

“What?” Emma blinked, certain she must have misheard him. “Could you say that again?”

Corvin immediately dropped to his knees, his face a mask of guilt. “Emma, if you’re angry, just hit us. We truly didn’t mean for this to happen.”

They still had no idea which one of them was the fool responsible for the life growing inside Emma.

“I’m really pregnant?”

The reality felt surreal, almost like a dream.
