Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 247

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley 247**
**Chapter 247: Kieran Returns**

Emma had been confined to the sterile, white walls of the hospital for nearly four days, each hour stretching endlessly as she fought against a relentless illness that refused to yield. The doctors had exhausted every treatment in their arsenal, trying every conceivable medication they could procure, hoping for even the slightest sign of improvement.

In a desperate bid, Marcus and Aria had even brought forth the sacred remedies, the ones whispered about in hushed tones, believed to possess miraculous healing properties. Yet, despite their fervent hope, Emma’s condition remained unchanged. The thought nagged at her — if even the holy medicine could not reach her, what hope was left?

Her mind drifted to the fabled Beast God’s fruit, a rare and potent cure that was said to blossom only on the treacherous slopes of Beast God Mountain. The very idea of it sent a shiver down her spine.

“Beast God’s fruit?” The subordinate’s voice trembled with disbelief as he turned to Malrik, his eyes wide with shock. “Are you saying you’re the one who needs it?”

What kind of ailment could possibly afflict someone like Mr. Malrik, a figure so imposing, that it would necessitate such a legendary remedy? The fruit was a rarity, cultivated only in the vicinity of the Beast God himself, requiring a century to ripen and yielding only five fruits every five hundred years.

Finding even one in the vast expanse of the Interstellar Empire was nearly impossible.

“You don’t need to concern yourself with the details. Just locate the Beast God’s fruit and report back to me within three days,” Malrik instructed, his voice steady despite the turmoil inside him.

With that, he turned on his heel and made his way back to the manor, urgency propelling him forward. He couldn’t afford to linger; Marcus would undoubtedly grow suspicious of his absence.

He dispatched others to search for the elusive fruit, but if they returned empty-handed, he was prepared to brave the dangers of Beast God Mountain himself. The thought of Emma’s suffering fueled his determination. No price was too high if it meant restoring her health, even if it meant risking his own life in the process.

The next morning dawned with a gentle light filtering through the hospital windows. Emma stirred awake, her body heavy with fatigue.

As Corvin opened the door to her room, he was met with an unexpected sight — the little rabbit, Cotton Candy, nestled at the threshold, its tiny body curled up in a ball.

“Cotton Candy, why are you sleeping outside Emma’s door?” he asked, a mix of concern and amusement coloring his voice.

Emma had been right all along; this rabbit was no ordinary creature. What kind of pet would vigilantly guard its owner’s door, brimming with worry?

“Are you worried about Emma?” Corvin mused, his brow furrowing as he gently scooped up the rabbit. “Come on, I’ll take you to her. She’s on the balcony soaking up some sun. Just be quiet, alright? Don’t disturb her.”

Malrik remained still in Corvin’s arms, his thoughts racing. Emma needed peace; he couldn’t disrupt her fragile state.

With careful steps, Corvin carried the rabbit to the balcony, where Emma sat, her figure fragile and weary.

“Emma, I’ll fetch you some breakfast. Let Cotton Candy keep you company for a while,” he said softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

Emma appeared even paler than the day before, her strength waning as she leaned against the balcony railing. When she spotted the rabbit nestled in Corvin’s arms, a faint smile broke through her somber expression. She gestured weakly, inviting Corvin to place Cotton Candy beside her.
