Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 253

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**

**Chapter 253: The Little One in the Light**

Silas must have completely lost his senses to even consider wanting a cub.

Emma felt that realization wash over her like a refreshing wave, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, the weight on her shoulders lightened. “I understand now, Silas,” she murmured, a hint of relief threading through her voice.

It wasn’t a pregnancy or a cub that had been looming over them; rather, it was just her own overactive imagination running wild, coupled with an overwhelming tide of stress that had swept her off her feet.

What had transpired had merely been a false alarm, yet it had clearly shaken both of them enough to serve as a poignant lesson learned.

Silas’s voice crackled through the screen, subdued and heavy with remorse. “Emma, I’m so sorry. I really messed up this time. I promise it won’t happen again.”

Emma absentmindedly scratched at an itchy spot on her scalp, her fingers brushing against a small, firm bump the size of a pea. She thought to herself, So that’s what he meant by the vine.

“It’s okay,” she replied softly, trying to infuse her words with reassurance. “I’m not upset. Just focus on the fight. We’ll be right here waiting for you. And if you come across Lucien, please let him know I’m home and waiting.”

There was no point in placing blame at this moment.

Silas was in the midst of a war zone, stealing a brief moment for a video call, thanks to his strategic position behind enemy lines.

Meanwhile, Lucien had fallen silent at the front, a ghost in the chaos of battle.

It had been days since Silas had seen him, and their communication was limited to cryptic messages sent through coded channels.

Suddenly, a soldier appeared, summoning Silas with urgency. He offered Emma a few last words, and the call ended abruptly, leaving an echo of silence in the room.

Emma exhaled a breath she hadn’t realized she had been holding, the tension finally releasing from her body.

Marcus sighed deeply, his shoulders relaxing in tandem with her relief. Thank the Beast God, Ms. Tibarn isn’t carrying my cub, he thought, grateful for the small mercies life had offered.

Her gaze drifted to the mirror resting on the bed, and on a whim, she placed one of Silas’s blossoms atop it. Perhaps the flower can do what the hair couldn’t, she mused, a flicker of hope igniting within her.

The bloom floated for a moment, suspended in the air, before gently settling against a strand of her hair, a delicate reminder of Silas’s presence.

Kieran’s face lit up with excitement. “See, Ms. Tibarn? Our Aquadome relics never fail us!”

The test hadn’t been mistaken; it had merely been the target that had been misaligned.

Emma nodded, a wave of relief washing over her. “You gave me this mirror. What will the mermaids use now?”

Kieran chuckled, his laughter lightening the atmosphere. “No worries, Ms. Tibarn. The Merfolk still have one left in reserve.”

That settled the matter in her mind.

After the flurry of activity, a wave of exhaustion began to creep in, wrapping around her like a warm blanket. She stifled a yawn and waved them off. “You two go ahead. I need to rest for a bit.”
