Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 255

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 255: The Choice to Keep Him**

Emma felt a rush of adrenaline as Silas’ message blinked into existence on her screen. Her fingers danced over the keyboard, urgency propelling her words. “I saw him in my dream, Silas. He was crying, pleading with me not to abandon him. He’s so sweet and looks just like you. I want to keep him. Can I?”

The glow of the screen illuminated Silas’ face, casting shadows that deepened the lines of his expression. The warmth that usually radiated from him was replaced by a palpable heaviness, a darkness that seemed to seep into the very air around him.

Mommy, Daddy, I’m here…

The words echoed in his mind, a ghostly refrain that made his heart race. He felt as if he were caught in a web of memories and fears, a place he desperately wished to escape.

“Stay away,” he thought fiercely, panic bubbling beneath his calm exterior. “Don’t come closer. Stay where you are.”

He pressed his fingers against his temples, trying to ward off the encroaching dread. Impossible. An unborn cub—already aware?

And that ability… dream-walking? Just like mine.

A shiver ran down his spine as the realization settled in. No cub of the Crescent Vine had ever awakened before birth. Not a single one.

Silas leaned back, his eyes dark and troubled. I never wanted to be a father. Just the thought of it felt like a noose tightening around his throat, constricting him, suffocating him.

Yet, that flicker of awareness, that spark of life calling to him—it refused to be extinguished.

If this little one truly possesses such power… then what have I brought into this world?

He hesitated, fingers hovering over the screen, the weight of his decision pressing heavily on him. Finally, he typed back, “If you truly want to keep him, we’ll need to bond before I bloom. I can’t leave my post yet, so you’ll have to come here.”

The war was nearing its end. Convincing Marcus to bring her to him wouldn’t pose a challenge. But the price… damn, the price.

Three years without touching her.

Three years. Not three days. Not three months.

Three excruciatingly long years—stuck, waiting, ensnared in vines like a prisoner enduring a relentless punishment.

Every time that thought crossed his mind, the vines within his chest wilted, curling inward like a dying plant. Even the air around him felt heavy, tinged with gray despair.

Emma’s reply came through almost immediately, her determination evident in her words. “Okay. I’ll come before you bloom.”

Time was slipping away like sand through his fingers. She needed to act quickly.

Corvin entered the room, a steaming bowl of bear meat noodles in hand, the aroma wafting through the air and momentarily distracting Emma from her thoughts.

Once she savored the last bite, she turned to the two men, her heart racing as she declared, “I’ve decided to keep the cub and go to Silas.”

Both Corvin and Marcus froze mid-motion, their expressions shifting from surprise to disbelief.

Corvin blinked, his brow furrowing. “Wait… you’re actually keeping the cub?”
