Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 274

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**

**Chapter 274: Searching for Emma**

The instant Emma’s mental energy surged forth, it morphed into a chilling wave that swiftly encased Drake’s faltering mental defenses, fortifying them against the searing onslaught of his inner turmoil.

With her reserves nearly depleted, Emma swiftly retracted her hand from his forehead, her complexion drained as she scrutinized his face.

“How are you feeling now? Is there any improvement?” she asked, her voice laced with concern.

Before Drake could muster a response, the earth beneath them began to tremble violently.

He shifted his gaze towards the nearby mountains, their snow-capped peaks now ominous in the distance, his expression morphing into one of alarm.

“It’s an avalanche…” he uttered, his voice tinged with urgency.

An avalanche? The word was foreign to Emma; she had never encountered such a phenomenon before.

Before she could process the gravity of the situation, Drake’s colossal dragon form enveloped her protectively. In an instant, they were engulfed in a blizzard of white, the world around them dissolving into a chaotic flurry.

Time slipped away from her grasp.

When Emma finally stirred back into consciousness, she found herself nestled against the dragon’s massive head, the warmth of his body a stark contrast to the frigid air.

Drake’s formidable form encircled her, and she realized, to her relief, that she was unscathed.

Instinctively, her fingers wove through her hair, feeling the vines and buds still intact, and she let out a sigh of relief.

But her relief was short-lived as her gaze shifted to Drake.

The wound on his abdomen had reopened, and fresh injuries marred his scales, each one oozing crimson.

His breaths came in shallow gasps, and a dreadful weakness emanated from him.

Emma’s heart raced with panic. She quickly pried open the dragon’s mouth, offering him every small flower she had salvaged.

With urgency, she crushed her remaining leaves, blending them with the healing potion she had prepared, and applied the mixture to his wounds.

Yet, this time, even the potent leaves from Silas and her concoction seemed powerless against the severity of his injuries.

Even after her desperate attempts at healing, Drake’s wounds continued to bleed profusely.

His breathing deteriorated further, each shallow gasp a painful reminder of his condition.

Emma felt a wave of despair wash over her; she had no idea where the avalanche had transported them.

In a frantic search, she checked her lightcore, only to discover they had lost all signal. They were utterly cut off from any hope of rescue.

In her haste to escape, she had brought nothing but her storage band.

Without a Gravicar or an airship at her disposal, the prospect of getting Drake to safety seemed insurmountable.

Her eyes fell upon him, and she noticed that the portion of his head buried in the snow had also sustained injuries, blood continuing to seep from the wounds. If she didn’t act swiftly, he wouldn’t survive.

After a brief moment of hesitation, Emma reached into her storage band and retrieved a vibrant red fruit.

With trembling hands, she mixed the fruit’s essence with her own blood, carefully feeding it into Drake’s mouth.
