Chapter 322 Emma’s Awake

I’ve got this. You go fix me something to eat. My tummy’s rumbling.Without waiting for a response, Emma leapt from the bed and dashed into the bathroom like she was running from trouble, slamming the door behind her with a decisive click, locking it tight.

Finally alone, she exhaled sharply and patted her chest, relief flooding through her. On the other side, Lucien paused, studying the closed door for a moment before a soft, indulgent. laugh escaped him. How could she be so irresistibly adorable?

Chuckling to himself, he swung the blanket back, retrieved his clothes from his band, and dressed slowly, savoring the calm. After straightening the bed, he stepped out, already planning what he would prepare for her to eat.

Downstairs in the living room, Corvin’s eyes lit up as he saw Lucien finally emerge from Emma’s room. He hurried over, anxious. Is Emma up yet? Has she eaten?

When he and Emma had bonded before, she would also sleep for a solid two daysbut normally by the second day, someone else would handle her care.

However, it was a different picture this time. Lucien, determined to prove himself, had claimed her entirely for three days straight. He refused to let anyone near her while she slept, insisting on handling everything himself.

The other males in the house had spent those three days biting their tongues. They were the ones who had doubted his abilities, after all, and none of them dared challenge himafraid he’d make them pay if they tried.

Lucien was in high spirits, fully satisfied after his time with Emma, and he’d completely dropped any resentment from before. He turned to Corvin with a relaxed smile. She’s awake and in the bath. I’ll make her some food, so you guys don’t need to linger here. Go take care of your own business.

The moment Corvin heard Emma had woken, he perked right up. Edric and I already prepared the meal. I’ll plate it and take it to her right away.

After bonding, Emma always woke ravenous. He and the others had learned to expect it. Lucien, aware that they hadn’t seen her in three days and were itching for a glimpse, simply nodded. Fine. Go ahead.”

With his approval, Corvin practically sprinted to the kitchen, excitement radiating off him. Edric, stationed by the doorway, immediately pivoted at Lucien’s words and hustled inside to arrange the food for Emma. Silas and Marcus, no longer able to stay put, leapt up from the couch and followed suit, moving in a rush.

Who had cooked or who would deliver it didn’t mattereveryone was determined to deliver the meal to her together. Even Drake trailed along, unwilling to be left out. Seeing all the burly males jostling in the cramped kitchen, Lucien shook his head in exasperation, gave a wry smile, and quietly turned back toward Emma’s room.

After finishing her bath, Emma emerged to find the room unexpectedly crowded with men. She paused, startled, her brow knitting in confusion. Why are you all here? Is there anything I missed?

No worries,Silas stepped forward, his smile gentle. We haven’t seen you in days, Emma. We missed you, and when we heard you were awake, we thought we’d come and share a meal with you.

Exactly what Silas said,” Corvin added quickly, while the others nodded in agreement. Emma could only stare, blinking in disbelief at the sight before her.

Lucien had already arranged the meal neatly, dishes and cutlery all in place. He looked at Emma with a soft smile. Emma, you said you were hungry, right? Come, eat first.”

Emma’s stomach rumbled in agreement. She glanced at Silas and the others. Don’t just stand there. Sit down and join me.Since they’d come all this way, there was no reason not to.

Marcus, closest to the couch, wasted no time and immediately claimed the seat nearest her place as soon as she spoke. Edric, watching him, couldn’t help but mutter under his breath, He’s quick. As quick as a flash, he immediately snagged the seat on her other side.

These two really knew how to play the game. Corvin watched the maneuver and groaned inwardly. Why hadn’t I thought to claim a seat first? I could’ve been right next to Emma.

Silas, seeing the little tussle, smiled and gently took Emma’s hand. Emma, you haven’t seen Remy in days, right? Go ahead, feel him. He’s grown a little, hasn’t he?He guided her hand to the small sprout atop his head. These past few days, Remy’s been missing you terribly, asking all the time when he’d get to see you again.”

Emma’s fingers touched Remy, and the tiny sprout perched atop Silas’s head, previously dozing, instantly sprang to life. Mommy! His voice, high and sweet, bubbled with joy. Mommy! You’re finally back! I missed you so much!
