Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 355

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 355: Custody of Malrik**

“I want to see what my real mother looks like,” Malrik declared, his voice steady yet filled with a childlike curiosity that tugged at Emma’s heart.

And honestly, I still can’t wrap my head around why my mother chose to seek out Ms. Tibarn instead of coming to me directly. Was I not enough? Did she think I couldn’t handle the truth?

Emma paused, her brow furrowing in thought, before she nodded slowly, “Alright. I’ll take you later.”

A surge of determination coursed through me. I should bring Malrik along with me. If he is truly mine to protect, then the Enchanter Clan must witness our bond firsthand.

From this moment onward, Malrik will remain with me—no one else will lay a finger on him.

I know the Enchanter Clan and Celia will not back down easily. That much is clear. If words fall on deaf ears, then Marcus will be forced to resort to more physical means.

Every single thing they’ve done to Malrik, I will make them pay back—debt by debt, until they understand the gravity of their actions.

In the grand front hall, Celia and several clan elders had been waiting impatiently for nearly an hour.

Still, there was no sign of Emma.

The manor guards stood stiffly, like statues carved from stone—expressionless and silent.

They didn’t even offer a single cup of water to quench the rising tension.

Celia’s patience, delicate and refined, finally shattered. Her features twisted in a mix of anger and irritation, a storm brewing behind her eyes.

“What is the meaning of this, Emma? Are we to be left waiting indefinitely? Is this some sort of display of arrogance on your part?” she demanded, her voice sharp as a razor.

An elder, his brow furrowed in disapproval, echoed her sentiments. “Indeed, Emma’s conduct is utterly disrespectful. Is this how she treats her guests?”

The others nodded in unison, their agreement palpable in the air.

“Exactly, this woman is far too much,” one elder muttered, shaking his head.

As the moments dragged on, Celia’s anger simmered, boiling over into a fierce rage. She was convinced Emma was intentionally toying with them.

“She’s stalling us on purpose. She knows exactly why we’re here—she’s terrified of relinquishing Malrik. He must be close by,” Celia seethed, her thoughts racing with indignation. A woman like Emma was entirely unworthy of my son, Merlin.

With a decisive stride, she approached the door, her voice icy as she commanded the head guard, “Tell Emma to bring my son here. Now.”

But before the guard could respond, a cool, languid voice drifted in from the entrance, slicing through the tension.

“You call us rude, yet your Enchanter screams in someone else’s home and thinks that’s polite?”

Celia and the elders turned swiftly, their expressions shifting from irritation to shock.

Emma entered the hall with Malrik confidently at her side.
