Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 369

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 369: Trouble Stirring**

Drake came to an abrupt halt, his foot poised mid-step. His gaze was locked onto Silas, a serious expression etched across his features.

“How do I do that?” he asked, a hint of confusion lacing his voice.

The thought had never crossed his mind until now.

Thank goodness Silas had brought it up. That gift truly might be worth the effort.

Silas leaned in slightly, his voice low and deliberate. “Listen closely. If you’re planning to give Lucien a gift, make sure it’s something he can genuinely use. When people accept a favor, they tend to soften. If Lucien accepts your offering, it will pave the way for Emma to accept you without any resistance from him.”

Drake’s heart raced at Silas’s words. Without hesitation, he reached into his pocket and pulled out an eleventh-rank insect core, pressing it firmly into Silas’s waiting palm.

“Brother, I’m still finding my footing in this household. I don’t really grasp the dynamics at play here. Can you enlighten me on what Lucien truly needs at this moment?”

Silas glanced down at the core, then lowered his voice even further, as if sharing a secret. “Lucien is in the process of assembling a squad. Yes, he requires funds, but more crucially, he needs people—strong, capable individuals.”

Drake’s mind raced. Therians from the Four Domains were known for their fierce nature, making them ideal candidates for a squad. He had attempted to recruit from there in the past but had never found a suitable opening. But now, with his intervention…

“I see. I understand what I need to do,” Drake replied, gratitude flooding through him as he nodded appreciatively at Silas. “Thank you for bringing this to my attention.”

His gratitude was genuine. Without Silas’s insight, he would have been lost in his attempts to win over Lucien.

Silas offered a warm smile, giving Drake a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “As long as you grasp the concept. Just remember, this was your idea; I merely provided a nudge.”

Is he really giving me all the credit for this?

Drake felt a swell of appreciation, deepening his sense of indebtedness.

He fished out several more eleventh-rank cores, stuffing them into Silas’s hand with a fervor. “Silas, I can’t thank you enough. Really.”

In this household, Corvin might be the simplest man, but Silas? He was undoubtedly the best.

“You’re far too kind,” Silas replied lightly, a twinkle of mischief in his eyes as he discreetly tucked every last core into his storage band.

“That’s all for now. I’m off to grab some breakfast.” With that, Silas began to walk away.

Drake stood rooted in place, watching Silas’s retreating figure, his heart brimming with gratitude.

Silas is truly a remarkable man.

Not only had he highlighted the essential steps to take, but he had also crafted a plan and bestowed upon him the credit for it.

With a brother like him, I’ll surely become Emmy’s mate before long.

Lucien’s situation needed to be addressed swiftly.

Rather than heading downstairs for breakfast, Drake made a beeline for his room. He opened his lightcore and initiated contact with Thero.

As the call connected, Thero’s projection materialized before him, his expression a mix of urgency and concern.

“Mr. Smith, why are you reaching out to me all of a sudden? Has something occurred on the Central Planet?” Thero’s voice was thick with worry.

Mr. Smith never initiates contact.

Unless there’s something of great importance at stake.
