Spoiled By My Nine Beast Husbands (Emma Tibarn) novel Chapter 398

**When She Opened the Door to the Life She Was Afraid to Live by Nora Vale Kingsley**
**Chapter 398: A Messy Dinner Prep**

Once Malrik had departed, Emma, Calum, and Silas made their way back to the living room. The atmosphere shifted as they stepped inside, and Silas turned to Emma, his voice soft and inviting.

“Emy, I’ll handle dinner tonight. What are you in the mood for?” he asked, a hint of enthusiasm in his tone.

Emma’s eyes lit up as she replied, “I’d love some noodles! Let’s whip up some fried beast noodles tonight. That sounds perfect!”

With a smile dancing on her lips, Emma glanced back at Calum, who was trailing closely behind her, his presence a comforting weight.

“Calum, you just arrived today. Why don’t you take a moment to relax? I’ll have Silas call you when dinner is ready,” she suggested, her voice gentle yet firm.

Calum stood before her, tall and imposing, yet his demeanor was reminiscent of a big, eager dog longing for affection. Resting was the last thing on his mind.

“I’m not tired at all! I can help with dinner. Seriously, how do you make it? I want to learn,” he insisted, determination evident in his eyes. He was unwilling to let any opportunity slip by to draw closer to her.

Emma understood his intentions perfectly. A warm smile spread across her face as she nodded in agreement.

“Then come along with us. The kitchen is spacious enough for all of us. Cooking together will make it all the more fun!” she encouraged, her excitement palpable.

As Emma, Silas, and the enthusiastic Calum entered the kitchen, a sudden commotion erupted from upstairs. Edric, having just completed his training, felt it was high time to join the dinner preparations. He changed out of his training gear and made his way downstairs, his mind focused on the evening ahead.

Passing by Drake’s room, he knocked lightly on the door, his voice carrying a casual tone. “Drake, I’m about to start cooking dinner. Want to join me?”

Drake, who had been diligently practicing his culinary skills, perked up at the invitation. He was always eager for a chance to learn more in the kitchen.

“I’m coming!” he called out, quickly setting aside his belongings and hurrying out the door.

The two of them descended the stairs side by side, Edric casually inquiring, “So, you went with Emma to the Consort Pavilion today. Did she get any new matches?”

Drake’s response was succinct, “One.”

“One?” Edric echoed, his eyebrows raising in surprise.

It was unusual for someone to receive only a single match, especially after the excitement of the extra matching opportunity. He hadn’t anticipated that the Beast God would grant Emma just one match.

“Who is it? Do you know?” Edric pressed, curiosity piqued. The notion of only one match felt deliberate, as if the universe had a specific plan in mind.

Before Drake could respond, Emma’s voice drifted in from the kitchen, tinged with exasperation. “Calum, the kitchen isn’t the best place for you. You should take a break outside.”
